The four teens pulled out of the student parking lot and started heading to McDonald's for lunch. Opal sent Asami the orders she got from her brothers including her own and Bolin's. Asami put into her notes adding it to the orders she got then started jamming out to the music with everyone else. They got to an intersection that was known for its daily accidents and terrible drivers, usually Korra would avoid driving this intersection. It wasn't because she was a bad driver and afraid to crash into something but of the other drivers who might crash into her. She stiffened when she pulled up to the intersection, looking out to her left with her hand holding her chin. This action didn't go unnoticed as a hand went to hers on the steering wheel and she shot her head towards the owner of said hand. Asami gave her a reassuring smile, tightening her grip on Korra's hand as she mouthed "it's okay," automatically getting Korra to let out a breath.
"Hey let's calm down a bit," Asami said to the 2 teen behind them rocking out to the music playing.
They all calmed down, which Asami knew would help Korra drive through this intersection. Korra tightened her grip on Asami as she got to the front of the intersection, Asami moved her hand to Korra's thigh so she could drive with both hands on the wheel in case something happened. They safely got through the intersection and Korra let out a sigh as she continued driving to McDonald's. Once they pulled into the parking lot and got a parking spot, Opal and Bolin headed in while Korra and Asami stayed in the car or a little bit.
"I'm proud of you, baby." Asami said, calmly holding her hand.
"I hate driving through there," she said, laying her head on the steering wheel.
"I know but you did it and we're all fine, Lets go get some food."
"Alright."
The girls got out, locked the car and went inside. Opal and Bolin already grab a table while they're waiting, Korra goes to join them as Asami goes to order. Waiting for about 5 minutes, she gets to the cashier and it's an old friend of hers, Kong.
"Hey Kong, how's it going." Asami said with a smile as she walked up.
"Hey Sato. I'm doing good. What can I get for you," He responded with a smile back.
Asami gave the orders and got her receipt, saying thank you and heading to her friends. She sat down next to Bolin and across from Korra joining in on the conversation they were having. Bolin was laughing, looking around when something caught his eye and frowned. Korra noticed but shook it off but Bolin kicked her in the shin making her face him again with a "what was the for" face. Bolin pulled Korra into a whisper and got confused looks from Asami and Opal. Korra didn't react from what Bolin said because she knew if she did Asami and Opal would catch onto what was going on.
"NUMBER 42! NUMBER 42!" yelled out one of the McDonald's employees.
"Let's go, I'll explain in the car," Korra said, getting up being stopped.
Asami looked at her with concern all over her face. Korra pulled her up and held her hand smiling. They got their food and went to the car. Bolin put everything in the trunk while the girls got into the car. Once everyone was in the car and buckled up, Korra started the car heading back to Republic High.
"Iroh and his friends were there," Korra said, glancing at Asami and grabbing her hand before turning forward, "Bolin and I didn't want you to be uncomfortable again so I was going to ask you to go with Bolin back into the car but then our order was called."
Asami and Opal looked at each other with an 'aww' face before kissing their significant other on the check.
"Thank you," they both whispered.
