Korra's POV
I was working on my Spanish essay when my phone pinged. Dropping what I was doing, I picked it up from where it lay on top of my drawer. There were notifications from a bunch of apps that I couldn't tell what the most recent one was until I saw one that wasn't supposed to appear. At least I hoped it never would.
I clicked on the notification instantly to see it was from Asami's earrings I had given to her on her birthday last year. Inside the diamonds was an alert and tracker inside so that if she was in trouble all she needed to do was swipe the holding brake to the left and it would inform me. What was weird was that I hadn't told her about that yet so for her to do this would mean something was wrong.
Immediately, I grab a bag and head to my car ignoring any questionable looks. Racing out of the driveway and towards the Sato estate, I call Adora from the car phone.
"Adora, gather the team right now!" I call out as I pull up to a red light.
I hear her say, <What? Why?> Anxiously bouncing my leg.
"They're at her house!"
<You don't know that Korra.>
I yelled, "JUST DO IT ADORA!"
<Alright, alright. I just placed the code. We'll be there in 5 minutes, 10 the latest.>
"See you there."
Call Disconnected
I stepped on the gas once the light turned green, taking sharp turns at any corner I had to take to get to her. Pulling up to the estate, the gate was already open and the normal guards there were gone. My feeling was right and it made me rush even faster to get to Asami. Pulling in as quietly as possible with the headlights off, I get a text from Adora that they just got past the gate and that Taru would be going in through the back while the rest come through the front.
Shutting off my phone, I grab my bag and pull out my pocket staff and cuffs as well as putting on a slim vest under my jacket. I get out of the car as Adora and the rest of the team get out of the van following me to the entrance. The door was already cracked open so we entered as quietly as possible. I pulled out my phone to check the location of Asami with her earrings which were on the west side of the estate.
"She's on the east side." I whisper into the coms.
"Alright. Bear and Stallion go east, Cobra keep eye from the back and the garage, Cheetah and I will go west. Got it?" Suya responded while pointing to each direction as she spoke.
Nodding in understanding we all answered in unison, "Yes Falcon."
We split up right after, Adora and I headed west quietly checking each other's 6's in case someone tried to get us from behind. Checking my phone once we get in front of the Sato's office to make sure we have the right room. We were a door away, I looked to Adora giving her a nod before backing up to kick the door down.
Once Adora signaled she was ready, I kicked the door down with as much force as I could muster. The door flew open, Adora the first to go inside and take out the first man we saw before I went in for the person next to her. Seconds later both were on the floor with two more left. Looking at them one was holding my unconscious girlfriend as the other held Yasuko at gunpoint.
Rage engulfed me when I looked back at Asami on the man's shoulder with hands not where they should be. Something inside me felt like I was floating and could do anything but it would flicker back and forth. Adora grabbed my arm pulling me back to reality.
"Let them go!" I growled taking a step but regretting it immediately when the gun was pushed closer to Yasuko and the other man pulled out a knife.
