"Okay no! You were the one who volunteered! I just sat there amused as you started to regret your decision to be the volunteer." Opal chuckled out as Asami just pouted in her seat.
Currently, Opal and Asami were at the city mall, shopping and hanging out. Asami has been stuck in her house since Spring Break started, worrying about her girlfriend and overthinking everything. So Opal yanked her into the real world and decided to hang out at the mall for the day.
"UGH I'm never living that down..." Asami grumbles putting her hands on her face in annoyance.
Opal clams down but still giggling. "Ok, ok...Why don't we start heading to my house and chill on the couch. My feet are starting to hurt."
Asami giggles and nods her head. They quickly dispose of their empty plates and put their trays away before heading to Opal's new car. She was gifted by her parents with a new grey Jeep Wrangler for her birthday a few days ago.
Once getting comfortable and set to leave the parking lot, Opal pulled out of her parking spot. On the commute to said setter's house, they drive by Korra's house. Opal was the first to notice since she was the one driving that Korra's car in the driveway. She did a double take once realizing what she saw almost giving herself whiplash. She slowed down and quickly tapped her best friend's leg, getting her attention before pointing to her teammate's house.
Asami scrunched her eyebrows before turning to the house Opal was pointing at. She looked even more confused when she noticed Korra's car that hadn't been there since she disappeared during finals week. Seconds later they see Korra getting out of her car then a girl with chocolate brown hair comes out of the passenger's seat. Asami scrunches her eyes and sends glares at the girl until her attention is pulled to the two back seat doors opening. Kai was the first one out then came out teen boy with auburn hair.
As the duo finally drove all the way by, the four teens were heading inside with Korra looking around feeling like someone was staring her way before heading inside once she didn't see anyone but cars driving by.
"Who are they?" Opal asked as she turned forward.
Asami shrugged as her eyes were now staring down at her hands in her lap. 'Korra was back but she didn't make any effort to contact her or her friends that she was ok. Even Kai hasn't said anything.' The heiress thought, annoyance and hurt slowly spilling into her fit figure.
"Text Kai, see what he says. I can tell you want to."
Asami just nodded her head, picking up her phone and going to her messages with Kai. The last time she texted was at the beginning of break and now it was Saturday with only one more day before getting back to school.
Kai⚾️
Hey Kai...I'm sorry if I'm bothering but I
was wondering if Korra has come back or
know if she's at least safe...I'm worried.

Send Message ⬆️
The message was read almost instantly like always then three bubbles popped up a few seconds later before disappearing. Asami watched and waited in anticipation for an answer.
Unknown to the young lady that Kai had shown Korra the text as they were relaxing in the living room. Korra let out a sigh, reading the message over and over with a sad and hurt expression.
"Just tell her I'm fine and will be back at school on Monday like everyone else." Korra said dryly, getting up and heading into her room.
