Carefully, I lightened up the candles using a match after failing to do so with a few matches before because of how freaked out I was, scared to get burnt. Anyways, it finally worked so I quickly huffed on it, placing it in the ashtray.

I couldn't believe how wicked I've become.

I exerted too much effort from cooking dinner to dressing up so well to doing my hair and applying makeup, remembering to apply the red lipstick he once lied to me about.. Only to deceive the man.

Taehyung's been distant for the past few days. He'd just stare blankly at the space before him, probably thinking about how he was going to make me hate him instead of charming me as usual.

How could he do that to himself?

Once the doorbell rang, I threw all of my thoughts away. I took one last look at my appearance before walking to the door. I inhaled a deep breath then let it out slowly, placing a small smile on my face as I opened the door.

"Hi." I started, already expecting the surprised look on his face. I slightly widened my smile at that before leaning into him, placing a light kiss on his cheek, not really needing to tiptoe thanks to my heels.

"Hello." Taehyung said slowly in a playful manner as he took his time to check me out from head to toe for awhile, a kinda sincerely happy smile adorning his face. He just reminded me of how his character was when we firstly met.

"You're late." I cleared my throat, feeling just a little nervous for being with him now for some reason since it's been days since we had an actual conversation.

"And you're beautiful."

Why did his words, which I knew how fake they were, still affected me that strongly?!

I knew the answer.. Just not willing to admit it out loud in my mind...

Maybe, because they weren't fake anymore?

And there you just admitted it.

"I prepared dinner," I walked ahead while he placed his car keys on the side table and took off his suit jacket. "For us." I continued, almost mumbling. And I didn't know why.

"Seems like it's my lucky day." A stupid smile sneaked its way to my lips upon hearing his flirty, simple words. "Why is the house so quiet?" He asked while looking around, casting his tie beside the jacket and unbuttoning the first three buttons of his shirt.

Don't you even dare think about it.

Alright.

"The babies are asleep. They played a lot in the yard and were so exhausted." He chuckled at that, but I knew he was just pretending to find it cute. "And I gave all the maids the weekend off."
