So this is not a bonus chapter because I'm not gonna add anything to the plot (not yet, at least). This is simply an explanation.
The story has been complicated and confusing since the very beginning; it just doesn't feel right to end it in a simple, happy way. And I HATE sad, tragic endings.
So, I chose neither.
This ending is not about who Raina picks, because she obviously picks herself. It doesn't matter, just for now, if she intends to go back to Taehyung after she heels or not.
The thing is that What is going on with her?
Has she made peace with her dark side?
Is it even a good thing, as I asked you before?
Of course, I'm not uploading an EXPLANATION chapter to make you more confused. I've been mean, yes, but not that much.
Anyways, it is NOT okay to make peace with your dark side.
You should always have control over it, not make it equal to you.
So, yes. Raina's unstable mentality misleads her and makes her believe that she "can actually" make peace with her dark side AND have control over it at the same time.
However.. Does Raina seem so unstable by the end of the epilogue?
No, she doesn't. She seems perfectly fine. She seems happy and satisfied with what she has. She seems like she knows what she is doing and what she is going do.
Like, most of us.
But who between us has a voice talking to them whenever it wants? More importantly, who won't freak the hell out if it happens?
So does that mean she is "used" to her dark side now?
Has it affected her that much that she doesn't even get triggered when it says something or even takes over her actions?
To be honest, this is for you to find out or to think about. It is about your own opinion of what it means or how it is going to affect Raina's life later on.
I guess that's what we call an Open Ending, right?
Not so "open," but yeah.
