We packed up all of our stuff and looked around for food while everyone else was sleeping.
We hoped that we would be packed and gone by the time that everyone else was up, and so far, we were doing a good job.
About a half hour later, we were ready to leave the Hall. We grabbed the sleeping infants and snuck out of the large, broken doors.
I wanted to leave this all behind because they wanted us to forget, but maybe we have a better chance at surviving if we stayed in the city.
My thoughts were interrupted by the sound of moaning Walkers. Not many.
Daryl disposed of them quickly as we stepped over the city border and into the all too familiar woods.I shifted Judith in my arms as we slowed down. We had gotten out of the city and had been walking for hours. The sun was actually starting to come up.
"We can rest here,"Daryl said as he collapsed onto the ground.
The rest of us dropped the bags and followed his lead.
I lay down with my stomach facing the sky and placed baby Judith on top. She gurgled and made baby noises as she slept.
I turned my head to catch a glimpse of my brother. Glenn was bouncing him on his knee.
Carl moved closer to me and grabbed my hand as we looked up at the sun and the clouds that surrounded it."We are gong on a run." I told Glenn as Carl fixed his hat and together, we walked away from our guardians.
He nodded,"Be careful."
We both nodded and headed on our way.
As we walked, we would stop in houses. Most of the houses looked as if they had already been searched. It wouldn't have surprises me if they had. Nowadays, supplies were running out and people were getting desperate.
Carl and I were walking along the road when we heard the sound of Walkers.
Their slow movements and distinctive moans.
Carl and I turned to seeming large mass of undead creatures coming towards us.
Carl pulled out his gun. I dug my hand into my boots and grabbed the knives.
The first Walker came to me and I plunged the first knife into its chest to distract him while my other knife came down on its head.
We had only gone through at least twenty Walkers when I started feeling tired.
Judging by the sweat that covered his face and the sluggish movements of his actions, I could tell that Carl was too.
"Run," was all he said before we took off in the opposite direction of the tents.
We ran until we couldn't anymore. While we were resting, I heard the faint moan of the Walkers.
"How the hell are they moving so fast?"Carl panted.
Suddenly, I felt a nudge on my upper arm.
I turned around to find myself facing a Walker. I moved to pick up my knives but the creature grabbed at me again. I tried to shake it off, but it held on.
Eventually, the hand slipped and I cried out in pain. Then, I heard a gun shot and thenWalker fell to the ground.
"Where the heck did that thing come from?" Carl said looking around.
I glanced at my arm,"We have bigger problems."
He came over to me,"What is it?"
I pushed back the sleeve to my shirt and exposed the marks of scratches that were there.
"It scratched me"
