Carl and I were the first ones back from the run, so we couldn't introduce Key and Denise right away.
The only other person that was in the prison was Beth. She was caring for Judith and Jacob.
"This is Keyanna and her mother, Denise." I said to Beth.
Beth removed her hand from the baby girl's back and shook both girls hands.
I then heard Glenn, Maggie and Daryl come into the prison.
I looked around. Carl had disappeared.
At first, I wondered where he was, but then he came in with the other three members of the group.
After their quick introductions, I headed towards Stevan's old room, which had been Rick's before that.
Carl came after me and said,"I can't let you show them around. Glenn or Beth will do it. You need to go to sleep.""
I sighed,"I'm not tired."
"Like hell you aren't. Those two were able to take you hostage and you couldn't fight back because you were too tired. What if they had been Walkers? What if they were people the you didn't know? You could have been killed."
I don't think he realized that he was shouting. I could barely tell either. My vision was starting to blur and my hearing was fading.
He continued,"You need to go to sleep. Now."
The rest of what he said was a blur. All I saw was darkness.
I felt the touch of Carl's hands on me after a sharp pain.

I woke up in a room that was poorly lit. I sat up slowly. My head was pounding and my arm was throbbing.
When I was finally sitting up, I saw that Carl was sleeping in a chair next to my bed.
I didn't want to wake him, but I also didn't want him to spend all night in a chair. I shook his arm gently and he jumped up with a worried look in his face.
"Calm down," I whispered.
He leaned down and grabbed my hand,"Are you alright?"
"My head and arm hurts, but other than that, yeah I'm fine."
He kissed my lips,"I didn't mean to yell at you."
A faint memory of Carl telling me to sleep came to mind.
"What happened to me?"
He sighed,"I was telling you to sleep and you were telling me that you didn't want to. I started screaming at you and the. You started to wobble. I hurried to steady you, but I was too slow and you hit the ground. You fell on your arm and then hit your head."
"How long was I out?"
He grinned,"A while. You fell last night. then daylight came and its night again, so I'd say about a day."
My mouth dropped open,"So, did you go on the run?"
He laughed and kissed me again,"Ahhhh, you know I missed you right? Even when you're out cold for a day, you still find the time to be concerned about the well being of others."
"Did you?"
"Yep. I went with Key. She's very handy with knives."
I smiled. I like the fact that Carl was getting along with one of my best friends.
"Well, enough about me. How are you? You hungry?"
I shrugged my shoulders as if to say so-so.
He grabbed my hand and together, we walked to the main room.
When I had a dry bowl of cereal, we both say at the table. I pushed the bowl in between us so that we could share.
"So what do you think of Key?"
Carl thought for a moment,"She's smart, funny. She's a great strategist. She thinks that I'm cute. She's pretty. she won't try and steal you from me. Yep, she's perfect."
I smacked his hand.
"But not as perfect as you, my love," he said with a mocking tone.
"In all seriousness, you can't stay up through all hours of the night and then go out on runs and face Walkers."
"I know," I mumbled.
After a while, I finished my cereal and Carl and I left the room to go back to our cell.
Even though I had been asleep for the past day, I still felt a sleepy. Carl climbed into my bed and I followed.
"You know," he said while trying to remove his elbow from my pancreas,"we should remodel the room so our beds are next to each other to make one big bed."
"Should we ask Beth and them first?" I asked sleepily.
"They won't care," he said.
I smiled as my eyes fluttered closed,"Okay."
