Thirty Two

Previously:
The pressure of the wind increased ten times blowing every single thing in his path away.

Including Efe and David!

Efe's back slammed against a plane. Blood and spit involuntarily shot out of her mouth. She gasped and coughed and clawed at the ground. Desperate for air. The unpleasant feeling of pain scattered around her back.

David didn't have the luck of a plane breaking his fall. Instead he struck the ground with vital parts of his body, breaking more than a few bones in the unpleasant process.

James advanced on the closest sibling, which was Efe. She still knelt beneath the dented plane coughing. He took her by the hair and flung her in the air, running after her at lightning speed, he kicked her but before his leg made an impact, she raised her arms in and 'X' to protect her head. Efe smashed the screen of a massive Coca Cola billboard then fell on the hood of a red corolla. Blood and dirt stained the back of her grey T-shirt. When she lifted her head, her face contorted in pain. James tugged on her shirt until she fell to the floor, facing upward. Efe cried; the pieces of glass stuck in her wound behind dug her skin more. James lifted his boot at her head. He smiled then he rammed his foot into her face over and over. Each hit, harder than the last.

When he felt like he had done enough damage, he went back to carry David who was still unconscious and broken. A bone stuck out of his elbow and ankle, his head was caked with thick blood and sand. James dangled him by the head far away from Efe. His laboured breathing and the irregular rise of his chest showed he was struggling to breath. He was going to die soon if she didn't get close enough to heal him. She tried to stretch her bloodied broken arm out to him but she couldn't even heal let alone, move.

'What the heck am i doing?

'I can't even move and i want to save someone else??..'

Her purple swollen eye ached along with everything else. She was tired and sleepy, her eyelid fell.

"David.." She cried

'I'm sorry. Please... I failed. I couldn't help you then... I still can't' Efe muttered barely above a whisper "I'm a... Failure. I admit it. I tried for so long to be strong but... I couldn't do it. I told myself I was strong yet I ended up putting myself and you and Ayo and Mide and mom in danger. I can't do anything. I SHOULD JUST DIE!" She cried "I'm weak.. I'm too weak" she coughed "...But I don't want to die... I'm terrified of death!" Hot tears streamed down and puddled on her bashed in face. Efe breathed out.

Protect our David for me...

Surpass your limits

No matter how strong you think you are you are stronger

"You are wrong mom! I'm not. I'm not stronger." Her eyes fluttered open just in time for her to see James squeezing David's head.

A loud screech pierced his ears. He lost his balance for a moment then looking down at Efe. He smirked.

"What are you going to do about it, Love?" He asked. Efe glared. "I guess nothing!" James let go David then the rocks that hovered around him, completely burying David.

Efe's open eye rounded ten times. Her gaze was transfixed on the earth her brother laid beneath.

What is all this for??

Why am I doing this

Responsibility? Obligation?... Love?

I think it's Love! I don't think that is what I'm feeling right now sha
