Twenty Four
"Hurry up and eat, we have to shop" Chioma commanded afterwards.
Shopping,
David insisted they went to the men's section first because according to him 'girls can't decide on anything when they're faced with a lot of things' and he didn't let them go on their own because also according to him, 'he needed their input on certain clothing'. In order words, he chose the complete opposite of almost everything they liked. Fortunately, it was working for him and they left after an hour.
Efe face palmed herself 'So this is what it's like to have a sibling. I'd rather get beat up by Lanky's goons again.' She thought."You killed them" Rage whispered.
"Yeah, I did" Efe grinned.
"I need jeans, footwear, jackets, underwear, tops aaaaannnd... Hair products." Efe sang. "Mom can you go get the hair products.. I'll go cloth shopping with David and meet you at that fancy gold restaurant " she smiled.
"Oh okay.. " Chioma turned in a new direction.
"The list is on your phone oh. Don't forget" Efe called after her, drawing little attention of passerbys.
The massive shopping mall housed tens of shops and hundreds of people because of their recent black market sales. Teenage girls and boys eyed the cute siblings curiously.

"What do you want?" David broke the silence
"What do you mean?" Efe asked
"You obviously know what you want " he gestured at her arm full of the clothes she'd been picking "You don't need my help, what is it you don't want to say in front of mom" He held her arm to stop her from walking.
"I was wondering... What's the plan?" Efe finally said it.
"We're shopping then we'll go eat" David stated.
"Ị maara ihe m chere." she gave a half smile.
Translation:
"You know what I mean.""Didn't you plan this out?"
"Well, my plan didn't go this far" she glanced up to the ceiling sadly "my plan was to get you or die trying" she made brief eye contact.
"Well, you got me! Now let's think of something fast because the longer we stay with her the more the target on her back grows'' David handed her a black turtleneck sleeveless top.
"I have enough in my account, we could go to some remote place for a while until everything dies down" Efe suggested.
"That could work... Then we'll tell mom to move immediately we leave. That's the best option" David frowned on a pink mini skirt in Efe danced in place holding.
"Okayy.. That's that for that" They both went through all she picked and sorted the ones that fit.
"That's a lot of black" David laughed
"I want to feel like a spy" Efe pouted.
"You are something else"
"I could say the same for you" Efe countered with all seriousness.
"What do you mean?" He handed the atm card to the cashier with a dashing smile.
"I mean.." She rocked on her heels "when you're fighting, it's almost like you've been possessed" She whispered so the nosy fake breast lady behind the counter wouldn't hear.
"I know.. People tell me" he went blank for a second."I don't really remember what happens when I go on some missions... I mean I see myself doing stuff I wouldn't normally do... It's like someone takes over my body and I'm made to watch"
