drabble 1

you watched the raindrops get caught in the glass of the window right next to you. each bit of water joined another, before crashing down onto the window sill.

you rubbed your legs together under the warm blanket, burying yourself deeper into the couch and picking up your book, its pages illuminated by the soft lamp light nearby.

you were only halfway into the page you opened, before charlie hopped up onto the couch, making himself at home right next to your leg before letting out a 'purr' of content.

just as you reached down to pet him, the front door burst open. louis came in through the door, running his hands through the ends of his wet hair.

you quickly jumped off the coach in excitement, running over to him and pulling his tall, cold frame into your smaller, warmer one.

"how was your day, love?" he asked, dropping his head down to kiss you on the cheek.

drabble 2

your hands flew across the kitchen counters, busying themselves among the cut vegetables and hot pans. you constantly adjusted the heat of the stove and dumped various seasonings into the pan, until it was seasoned to your liking.

charlie wiggled his way through the various crumbs on the floor, narrowly missing your feet everytime you moved along to the beat that was emitted from your phone's speaker.

just as you were about to stir the pan once more, to the beat of your favorite artist, a warm pair of arms from behind you made themselves at home around your waist.

"you can't sneak up on me while i'm cooking," you chuckled.

"m'sorry, just couldn't wait to give my girl a hug," louis' deep voice fanned across the base of your neck.

"you wanna try?"

you waited until he nodded enthusiastically, before you grabbed a clean spoon and dipped it into the concoction in the pan.

raising it over your shoulder, louis leaned forward to take a small bite before nodding in approval.

drabble 3

"can you believe that?" you muttered, aggressively pushing a beauty sponge into your face.

"that's crazy," louis shook his head in disapproval.

he stood next to you, right infront of his sink in your shared bathroom. he took the left, you took the right.

you knew he wasn't properly listening, but he had been accustomed to your dramatic rants over the years. as long as he showed some kind of interest or engagement, you were satisfied enough to continue.

"and then-" you continued, raising a mascara wand to your eye, "she said that she deserved the promotion!"

"she should know better than that," louis responded while pulling a comb through his dark hair.

reaching over to his side, you fixed the tie around his neck. as you finally straightened it out, louis leaned down to quickly press a kiss to your temple, before you continued your rant.

"that's exactly what i said! the nerve of that woman..."
