It had just been a couple of days since I became the Luna of the pack but it seemed like I had been one since forever. My days had became much busier than before taking care of the pack. It was as if my life had taken a 180-degree turn.

I tried to help Ashler with the letters, calls and strategies but soon realized that it wasn't my forte. I rather spent time with the pack, taking care of the children and playing with them, listening to the pack's problems and suggesting solutions and helping out in the kitchen. I loved to see the smile on their faces especially the ones of which I could be the reason.

This reminds me, yesterday I had baked a few cakes and cookies for everyone and thankfully they turned out to be delicious.

I realized that me helping him out with taking care of the pack had relieved him of a lot of stress that he was previously under. I was glad to be of some use and honestly, I felt like I was meant to be the pack's Luna for the same reasons.

My old life seemed like a hazy memory. Not of my parents or the pack members (I still missed all of them dearly), but of how irresponsible and annoyingly childish I was. I was selfish to say the least. I feel like I have grown up a lot more in the past two months than I ever could in the 20 years that I had spent with my old pack.

I had changed, for the better. I need the pack members and Ashler just as equally as they need me. They were the light that guided me in the right direction to show me who Hannah Parker truly is. And undeniably, I loved this version of myself a lot more.

I woke up with the alarm ringing right near my head and groaned. The tiredness of yesterday wasn't washed off completely yet but I was still looking forward to today.

It was still 5 in the morning, so Ashler was sleeping peacefully on his side of the bed.

I gave him a quick peck on his hair and got out of the bed to quickly brush my teeth and take a bath.

I was dressed in my workout clothes just like every other day and got out to see Ashler's alarm go off at 6.

"Hey, wake up or you'll be late." I said, shaking him gently.

He mumbled something inaudible and went back to sleeping. I knew how to wake him up when he was being like this and bit his ear playfully before kissing it.

Due to certain reasons (blushes), we reached the training ground right on time and not 10 minutes early like we usually did.

Since I was officially the Luna now and well versed with the training pattern, I stood next to Ashler in the front during the training sessions.

After training for three hours today, I was dead tired but equally thrilled that I was getting better with my defenses and techniques. I flopped down on Ashler's bed after I was done showering to calm my sore muscles.

"You know, I'm really proud of you." Ashler said out of nowhere.

"Proud, what for?" I scrunched up my eyebrows in confusion.

"Because I thought the change of being a Luna is going to be really tough for you but you grabbed onto it like a fish to water. I know that it's still new for you, but seeing you try so hard for me and the pack makes me fall in love with you more and more every day. You're giving it your all and I must say that I'm absolutely and utterly impressed by your dedication." He said, snaking his arms around my waist as he laid down right next to me.

I blushed from his comment. "I just don't want to make any mistakes, that's it. You've been such an amazing leader all these years and I want to be able to be at least half as amazing as you. You've set the standards very high; I cannot slack off and ruin all your hard work."
