Hey guys!

First of all I want to apologize for leaving you on a cliffhanger and making you wait for so long. Thanks for being so patient with me and understanding.

I love you all <3

And....I promised that my next chapter would be worth your wait. So as said, here I am with a surprise.

*drumroll*

Ashler's POV

I have been working in my office for straight fifteen hours now. I was awake the entire night and now I feel literally dead.

Being an Alpha isn't easy at all. But as the Alpha of this pack, I gladly accept all the duties.

There is an important meeting coming up where Alphas of all the packs in the state are planning to meet up and have a discussion on rogues and the land area of the packs.

Although Sandy, my first Beta and my best friend, has been really helpful and supportive but still I find myself spending most of my time in my office these days.

Sandy has been a part of the Golden Furs pack since eternity. He had initially wanted to be the Alpha of the pack, but I was in line after my dad.

And so, he stepped up as my Beta instead. I couldn't be more glad because since that day, we've been the best of friends.

I have been busy writing and replying to the letters received from other packs and basically working on the next strategy for the betterment of the pack.

I love my pack and all the members of Golden Furs. They are all a part of me even if I don't interact much with every pack member. Losing a pack member takes away a part of me just as much.

And I'll do anything to protect them.

This pack desperately needs a Luna though. All the work and trainings keep me busy throughout the day and sometimes even the night. I never get enough time to spend with the pack members and get to really know them.

I know that they talk things behind my back about how closed off I am and how I should not be messed with and all. It's just that I don't know how to start a conversation with them now after not having interacted for so long.

Sometimes I wonder when will I meet my mate, the Luna of this pack. What will she be like? If she'd love me like I'd love her? All I know is that whoever she is, I'd love her with everything I have and everything I am.

Where is she?

I sighed loudly looking at the pile of letters on my desk in frustration.

I ran a hand through my hair and reminded myself that this is only for a couple of days more until the meeting takes place and got back to work.
