"he wants you dead."
you sat across from geto suguru in a small restaurant. the black haired man confronted you there the morning after mahito found you and gojo together.
geto had a small cup of coffee in front of him that he wasn't drinking, as well as a menu that he wasn't reading.
a young waitress had come over to take his order, though he kept telling her that he was still thinking about it.
"i'm sure of it," you replied. you nodded in understanding while trying to spare yourself a recap. "so what?"
your hands were folded in your lap while you glared at geto, but every time that he smirked was when your hands shook slightly.
you cursed at yoursef for ever finding him even remotely attractive, now realizing that he was really just hiding behind his face until he had the chance to treat you like garbage.
"i'd like to kill you. mahito would never allow that unless you gave me permission, so i need you to tell him that you want somebody to kill you."
you tensed in your seat and your fingers started to fidget with each other. even though you were in a sudden state of panic, you never stopped glaring at geto.
"it'd be beneficial to everybody."
your facd scrunched in offense and confusion.
from your perspective, it was beneficial to him.
it seemed like he always hated you, and the negative friendship that formed between you had been one of the many things that made you not want to take part in their plans.
you hated him because... well, you just did.
you thought he hated you because mahito had these conditions that as long as you weren't in any danger, then they could be partners.
since then, you assumed that geto always thought of you being in the way because of how he'd avoid and ignore you.
the only thing that was against him was how, as much he'd like it to change, mahito always wanted the best for you. no matter what. no matter how much distance geto tried to put between you two, he could never breach your relationship.
until now, that is.
"who else could this benefit besides yourself?"
he laughed lowly. "it's beneficial to me because i'd love to see gojo satoru fall apart after taking the only person that he's ever loved, indeed." he nodded to himself. "but if you were gone, mahito could give his attention to the things that actually matter."
geto, while being extremely blunt and hurtful, was beginning to make a point in your mind. because you were sure that you had done nothing but caused trouble for mahito, you were starting to think that maybe it'd be for the better if you completely left his life.
"do you want satoru to massacre you? he was already angry enough as is. if anything, you're going to be more vulnerable now without me there to distract him."
you could see geto's face subtly twitch when you used gojo's first name, but he was quick to hide it.
"it's a risk that we're willing to take," geto shrugged. "we have the means to defeat him, it's just a manner of time and place now. how does your funeral sound?"
