doctor - jack stauber

'now how long have you been standing there?'

'please don't hurt me.'

'i don't recognize you... it's my job to stop you.'

'i'm not a threat.'

'i really wish i could believe you babe.'

'if i wanted to kill someone i would have done it already.'

'i think you're more than confident that you can threaten me, which is adorable, by the way.'

'i don't want to do this right now.'

'that's too bad.'

'this was fun, really.'

'i'm in so much trouble.'

(ten days later)

i rid the school ground of all the other intruders after she left. a few days later after everyone mostly healed, we played baseball in place of the individual battles, which caused me to get my ear talked off by the higher ups.

i didn't see her again after she left, but i knew that i wanted to see her again. mainly to get her back for throwing me into a wall, but also because i wanted to know more. there was something special about that girl.

i walked through the city prepared to buy a few gifts for the students, and i stopped in a street side cafe, feeling hungry.

out of all the things that i expected to find inside, she was not one of them.

she walked around the shop with her hands behind her back. she wore a large black sweater that went down to her thighs, and black socks that went up to her knees. her hair was a bright silver. her left eye was a dark and ashy red, but her right eye was steel colored. her nails were painted in black, but it was chipped and uneven.

she was lightly stepping around and observing the people who sat at their tables. her eyes were strangely empty and dead.

the bell rung as i entered, and she took a double take when she noticed me. at first, she paid me no mind. she looked away nonchalantly like i was just another dumb human who wouldn't be able to perceive her. she ignored me, clearly forgetting what went down between us a week and a half ago. she sat down in an empty booth in the corner of the room.

when she looked at me a second time, she scowled and her shoulders tensed. i slightly panicked, thinking that she was either going to fight me or run away again, but instead she pouted and turned to look out the window beside her. an angry red color covered her cheeks like i was the last thing that she needed.

when i was finally sure that neither of us wanted to resort to anything violent, i decided to not order anything, instead seating myself in the booth seat across from her. then, it was just the two of us in the corner. alone.

i cleared my throat to gain her attention. she was visibly ignoring me, so i cleared my throat again. the uncomfortable silence was clearly getting to her, so i tried one more time.

she didn't turn to look at me, but she sighed and groaned. "what the hell do you want?"

"we meet again."

"unfortunately," she replied.

"in any case, i'm gojo. gojo satoru."

she scoffed. "yeah, i kind of figured that out already."
