"what a cute little building..." you joked as you stared up at a short apartment building sandwiched in between two modern condo buildings, completely overshadowed by all the bright lights flashing around. it was dark and rundown, with the brick slowly chipping away in pebbles and the entire front steps leaning lopsided. the lack of light coming from the inside made it seem abandoned.
"glad that you think so," gojo joked back. though his eyes were hidden behind his sunglasses, you felt his teasing glare anywhere.
"this better be worth it."
gojo's fingers intertwined with yours, and, pulling you with him, he walked up to the door and knocked roughly. five seconds later, a slot in the door revealed two intimidating eyes glaring back at you. you squinted skeptically at whoever was behind the door. gojo moved in between the two of you, lowering his sunglasses to make eye contact as well.
"good evening," gojo said respectfully. "you're doing well?"
the man behind the door hummed and aggressive slid the slot closed. small and muffled clicking of the metal locks behind the door were heard, and finally the door opened. the man still stood in the doorway, with the same cold gaze.
he was taller than gojo, and his tan skin and short black hair set him apart from most people that you had seen. his large and muscular build protruded out from under his simple suit.
the man nodded to gojo and easily moved aside, welcoming the two of you inside. you followed gojo easily, but the large bouncer stopped you in your tracks, glaring down at you again.
"you can't come in," he said strictly, his deep voice vibrating your brain.
you were taken aback, but remained quiet while you leaned to the side to look at gojo. he turned around to see how you dealt with it, smiling expectantly at you.
you looked back to the large man in front of you and sighed. "i'm with him," you boredly replied.
the man crossed his arms. "how do i know that?"
"what are you- i've been standing with him this whole time?" your confusion shone through easily. "we were holding hands before you got in my way."
the man turned around to look at gojo. "we don't welcome plus ones, gojo. you know that."
"just this once?" the white haired man shrugged.
while the man was faced away from you, you quietly attempted to push your way past him and into the short hallway that he blocked.
unfortunately, it wouldn't be that easy. the man brought his large hand down and clasped your shoulder, stopping you again.
"i thought i made it clear-"
you had already grown impatient enough, so your hand shot up to hold the man's wrist, which barely fit in your hand. you gripped it tight enough to relieve the pressure on your shoulder. the man was only slightly shocked that he could even feel the pressure of grip as he had already viewed you as unthreatening with your considerably smaller size.
cursed energy flowed out like a toxic gas, uncontainable and sly. the energy met the man's feet, and soon he was floating just slightly above the ground. you pulled him out of the doorway easily, and then quickly reversed the affect your cursed energy had on him, and his feet heavily connected back to the ground. you finally let go of his wrist, and he attempted to take steps towards you, however his gravitational connection was made so strong that getting his feet off the ground was almost impossible. he glared up at you a final time and you smiled back, finding it funny how stuck he looked.
