In an alternate universe very different from the one we call our own, there was a world filled with immense destruction and poverty. People were forced into complete oppression and faced torture if they dare disobey. After many years, it was decided that the world should be split into precise sections to keep too many people from congregating in one place - mainly to minimize how much they could rebel. The continent Panem was born, and was divided into 13 districts alongside a capitol. Every year, to celebrate and thank the creators of Panem, each district was required to select two children of the ages 12-18 to compete in a fight to the death called the Hunger Games. The last person standing would be celebrated throughout the districts. This is the story of the Outlaster.
