Austin's P.O.V.I woke up because I couldn't breathe well so I sniffled. I kept doing this until I was sure that no matter what I could not make my nose clear. I felt like coughing and my body was trying to force me so I tried to cough quietly so my mom wouldn't hear. I wanted to stay in bed, but I decided to go to school anyway. I needed to get my grades up before report cards came out. I got dressed and ate, then left to walk to school. I felt an itch in my nose so I covered.
"Hepshoo! Hepshoo! Hepshoo! Hepshoo! Hepsh!"
I sniffled again and continued my way to school. I felt really sick, but at least I didn't have a headache like I usually do. I walked in the doors and up to my class. I slept through my first two classes and was about to fall asleep in the third, but my nose was itching again.
"Hepshoo!"
"Bless you," a bunch of classmates murmured.
"Hepshoo! Hepshoo! HuhPSH!
"Bless you," a few people repeated.
"Mrs. Johnson," we heard come on the speaker in our classroom.
"Yes," Mrs. Johnson answered.
"Is Austin Mahone with you now?"
"Yes."
"Can you send him down for dismissal."
Dismissal?
"Sure. Austin."
I sniffled and got up, then grabbed my backpack.
"Here you go," Mrs. Johnson handed me the pass.
I made my way out of the classroom confused as to why I was being dismissed. I put my hand up to my nose when I felt it itch again.
"Hepsh! Hepsh! Hepshoo! Hepshoo! HEPSH!"
"Bless you," I heard.
I lifted my head to see y/n.
"Where are you going," y/n asked, joining me.
"I'm going homb."
"Why?"
"Hepshoo! Hepshoo! Hepshoo! Hepshoo! HEPSHOO! I don't doe why."
"Sounds like your sick."
"I feel it too."
Y/n put her hand on my forehead, "Well I'm glad you're going home, you're absolutely burning."
"Great."
"Sorry I got to go back to class. Text me. Ok?"
"Yea."
"Feel better."
"I'll try."
Y/n smiled and put her head down before turning and walking the other way. I walked the rest of the way to the office. I found Alex sitting there with some shades on.
"Alex what are you doing here," I asked.
"Let's go."
He got up and I followed him outside. I saw Alex's truck and we walked towards it. I opened the door to Robert in the seat beside me and Zach the seat in front of me. Alex's truck was wide so he was over a ways from my seat. It was a good thing since I was sick. My eyes went to the back of the truck. Suitcases?
"Alex," I asked.
"Road trip," they all screamed.
I chuckled, "You guys are stupid and I'm sick. I am in no condition for a road trip."
"Oh shut up and get in Captain Buzz Kill," Alex ordered, "You can sleep on the way."
"Plus my immune system is made of steel," Robert added.
I laughed and got in. We had just pulled out of the school when I felt the annoying itch come back. I rubbed my nose to no avail. I kept my finger under in hopes it would cut the fit short.
"Hepsh! Hepsh! Hepshoo! Hepshoo! Hepshoo! Hepshoo! Hepsh! HEPSH!"
I sniffled and started coughing, well more like hacking.
"Wow you really weren't kidding about being sick," Zach said, looking back at me in the mirror.
I nodded, "I doe right. I feel miserable."
"Should we take you to a doctor," Alex asked.
"Doe I'll be find."
Zach handed me a tissue.
"Thangs."
I blew my nose.
"Yea Robert get him a pillow or two so he can try to sleep."
Robert got a pillow put of the back and gave it to me, I propped it against the door and laid my head on it. I kept the tissue in my hand for future use.
Robert's P.O.V.
Austin was snoring. He looked miserable, his eyes kinda swollen and his nose red with a balled up tissue clenched in his hand.
"Maybe this was a bad idea after all," I told Alex.
Both him and Zach looked back at Austin.
"I'm going to take him to a doctor. Robert can you ask Siri where the closest one is and the directions?"
"Yea. Siri, where is the nearest doctor?"
"72749 Mason Street," Siri told us.
"What are the directions?"
"Direction for 72749 Mason Street...exit highway and go on Route 54." (Idk if it's real or where it's at, but don't search it up cuz I don't want them to be in a specific place)
Alex switched lanes and told me, "Keep a watch on him and make sure he's okay."
I nodded and looked over at our sleeping friend. He was still snoring softly, the sound of his jagged breaths and the wind blowing the only sounds filling the truck. He started gasping.
"Alex I think he's gasping for air," I told him with fear in my voice.
"Hepshoo! Hepshoo! Hepshoo! Hepshoo!"
He drew in a big gasp, "Hepshoo! Hepshoo! Hepshoo! HuhChoo! HuhPSHOO!"
Alex laughed.
"What?"
"All he had to do was sneeze."
"Oh shut up Alex."
"Alex I'm scared," Alex mocked.
We got Austin to the doctor, who said he had the flu, and then continued our trip by the request of Austin since we'd already come so far. We got to Cali and stayed there for about two weeks since the week we had originally planned for was spent taking care of Austin. We did enjoy the second week though. Austin and I even met some girls that we would hang with in the future.
