Jai's P.O.V.
"Jahoo," Beau shouted.
"Jaha," Luke whispered.
"Jahooha," Daniel said.
"Jahaha," James said with a laugh.
I was about to say what I was supposed to say, but I felt a tickle in the back of my nose.
"Esh! Esh! ESHuh! ESH!"
The boys looked at me like I had murdered somebody.
"Sorry I don't know what that was from, but: JAHAHAHAHA!"
"JAHOO WEEK EVERYBODY TOMORROW STARTS JAHOO WEEK," Beau screamed.
This coming week was Jahoo Week. Monday was Janoday, Tuesday was Dirty Day, Wednesday was Gemsday (James), Thursday was Lukeday, Friday was Jaiday, Saturday was Dannyday, and Sunday was Beauday. (See what I did there?)
We all jumped around and Luke threw me into the pool. As soon as I had floated back up to the surface, I heard Luke laughing. It was cold outside and the freezing pool water was not helping. I got out and started shivering.
"ESHuh! ESHuh! ESH! ESH! ESH! Eh...ESHuhuh!"
I ran inside the warm house, feeling my nose start to run. I felt kinda embarrassed that this had just happened. I started coughing a little as I shivered. Beau came in and got me a blanket, then wrapped me up in it. The other boys came in after a bit and they kinda just looked at me while I shivered.
"Are you okay," Luke asked.
"N-no."
"I'm so sorry."
"It's al-alright you d-didn't know this was g-gonna h-happen."
He sighed.
"L-Luke I'm alright just c-cold."
"Ok."
I smiled and I finally became kinda warm so I felt my eyes become heavy. Luke got me another blanket and wrapped me in it, probably seeing that I was still shivering. I put my face under the blankets and coughed a little.
"Jai sit up real quick," I heard James say.
I obeyed and I felt pillows get put under me. I laid back and instantly my eyes forced shut. After what seemed like minutes I was being shooken awake.
"Wake up it's the first day," Daniel told me, "We're meeting fans today."
I nodded, but kept my eyes closed. I just wanted to lay here in my warm blankets. I felt a burning sensation in my nose and I burried my head in the blankets.
"ESH! ESHuh! ESHoo! ESHOO!"
"Bless you," Daniel said.
I took my head out from under the blankets and realized I couldn't breathe as easy. I sniffled, but nothing changed. So I kept sniffling until I did it so hard I started coughing. They were really loud and they hurt a lot.
"You feeling ok?"
I stopped coughing. Normally I would've said yes and tried to pretend I was fine, but I didnt feel good at all so I shook my head no.
"You must be really sick, normally I would've had to get it out of you."
I nodded and closed my eyes again, tilting my head upwards so I could at least try to breathe better. I woke up again when I heard the clinging of either pots or pans. I started coughing loudly again.
"He okay," Luke asked.
"No he's either come down with something or he's coming down with something," Daniel answered.
When Luke realized that I couldn't stop coughing, he brought me a cup of water.
"Thanks."
"Yea I'm sorry I got you sick."
"It wasn't you-"
"I pushed you in the pool and it was cold."
"I think I was getting sick before that, I was sneezing before that. You may have just helped get me sick quicker. But I was going to get sick anyway."
"Yea I guess you're right."
I breathed in and immediately started coughing again. I reached for the cup of water Luke had given me and took a sip.
"Hey boys," Rob yelled as he came in.
"Hey Rob," Beau greeted.
"Ready to go to the interview for Janoday?"
"Um we're not sure," Luke sighed.
"I know it's cold, but there's heaters in the van. You know that ri-"
"Yea we know," James spoke up and pointed to me, "But Dingus over here is sick."
Rob looked at me, "Yeesh. What happened to you?"
"I don't know."
My voice sounded really rough. I coughed, trying to clear my throat but the coughs sounded rough too.
"Sounds like you've been swallowing nails. How long has this been happening?"
"The roughness just started but I've been feeling sick since this morning and I was sneezing yesterday."
"Yuck. Well let me see if we can cancel."
Rob went upstairs and when he came back down, he looked upset.
"What's wrong big guy," James asked.
"Sorry Jai, but they said it's Jahoo Week and we can't cancel."
I nodded, "I'll go get ready."
I got dressed and when I came back down, we left. Let's just say Jahoo Week was not the best.
