Chapter Eleven

Steve and I stood in the cellar. "Right here." I pointed at the grate, I walked over and picked it up moving it to the side. "You can tell it used to be bigger but is covered up on purpose," I explained and he nodded crouching down.

"Blood?" He whispered touching the stain.

"HYDRA used to come here, the file I found was from 1990, about some woman, the most I could get out of it was they were supposed to assassinate her but she was unimportant because someone else had what they needed. they were tracking something, that would come in in a year, so '91." I explained.

"Who was the woman?" He asked, and I shrugged.

"Does it matter? She's alive," I said and he hummed.

"Guess you're right." He said humming. "I can't wait to start having you on missions." he smiled and I giggled.

"I can't wait to start going on missions, I'm glad fury is finally letting me, did he say anything about me?" I asked and he shrugged.

"He said this was a test, that you passed part of it the moment you told us to stay away from the blizzard, he was surprised, we all were," Steve said and I smiled.

"I just didn't want my family to get hurt," I whispered.

"So, Loki has been good?"

"The best, he and I have talked about a lot, he told me all about the nine realms and how it works, such a fantastic world he's from," I whispered to him, and he nodded. "He's a sweetheart when he wants to be, I think he sees me differently than the others, especially you guys," I said.

"If you mean he's attracted to you, then you're right," Steve said and I looked at him, I stood up and started to walk up the stairs.

"In my dreams maybe," I said and he scoffed.

"You dream about him?"

"No, it's a figure of speech." I sighed.

"Who are you dreaming of?" Loki asked as we walked into the room, I looked at him and gulped.

"Nobody!" I sighed leaning on the couch and Steve looked at me. "I'm dreaming of nobody, I don't have dreams, about anyone, or anything." I sighed and Loki hummed.

"You don't dream?" He asked.

"The only dreams I have, are nightmares," I said and Steve hummed.

"Have you had any since you came here?" Steve asked. "Cause of HYDRA being a trigger for you?" He asked and I looked back at the make-shift bed.

"No actually, maybe Loki being in the room helped? The presence of someone else, like it is with my brother?" I mumbled, and Steve hummed.

"Maybe. Speaking of, how is bed arrangements going?" He asked and I hummed.

"I don't know, we can change it around, or you can sleep in the bedroom while I and Loki stay out here."

"I like that idea," Loki said.

"I don't," Steve said standing up and I sighed.

"Okay, new idea." I walked toward Steve. "You.." he nodded. "Stay out here with Loki and I sleep in the room then." I smiled. "I like that idea." I smiled more and Loki and Steve looked at each other.

"No." They both said.

"Yes." I smiled and walked into the living space, I separated blankets and sheets, bringing them to the room, and they followed me as I began making the bed in there. "This way, we can test the theory, nightmares without someone with me, no nightmares with someone. And maybe you two can even talk?" I smiled.
