Chapter Thirteen
"Don't you think it's a good thing we're partners?" I asked and Loki looked at me as we sat in the lounge alone, it was the 27th now and Tony was currently planning his big new year party. I wore something Wanda put me in, a skirt, plaid and a button-up.
"How so?"
"Not only are we completely compatible, but we can also talk to each other in our heads, y'know how useful that's gonna be in undercover missions?" I asked and he hummed.
"Undercover?"
"Y'know when we have to pretend to be who we aren't, I've had a lot of classes from Nat on that, and my legs don't even hurt in Stilettos anymore." I smiled and he hummed. "And fight in them, which was so freaking hard to learn, took me weeks to be able to fight without rolling my ankle." I sighed and he looked at me. "You'd be amazing at it, y'know you're a god of lies, so... you can act right?" I asked.
"Yes, I can act, I can make myself look completely different if needed as well. Speaking of, when are we going to do that training you spoke of?" He asked and I hummed.
"Well, I need to make a schedule change so we can start doing it daily, but if the rooms are closed we can now?" I asked and he looked at me pleased. "Friday, is the enhanced training room empty?" I asked.
"Yes, Miss Maximoff."
"Good, Book it for me right now," I said.
"Done."
"Let's go Zmeya," I said, and we went to get ready for it, when I walked into my room I saw Buck sitting on the bed, looking down at his metal fingers, I froze at the door, but I never heard Loki's door close. "Buck?" I said and he jumped he wasn't paying attention and was probably lost in his head.
"Oh Uma! I um..." He scratched his neck and walked over to me. "So I was thinking, maybe we can... god how do I say this..." He was struggling and I felt myself become curious. "Did you wanna go out to like a bar or something?" he asked and I felt myself heating up, suddenly his eyes adverted up, I turned and saw Loki looking at us, Bucky wasn't completely quiet so he heard the question, Bucky's arm came up and grabbed my door, and threw it shut, the last thing I saw was Loki looking at me, I couldn't read his neutral face, which made me feel nervous.
"Buck?" I looked at him, he leaned down pushing me into the door softly.
"It doesn't have to be anything more than us friends." He said and I smiled a tad.
"Why don't we bring some others then, and if you get all butthurt, we can have our table for some of the night," I asked, He stared at me.
"I was hoping on going alone."
"To a bar? doesn't sound very fun for a girl," I said and he hummed.
"Okay, but we get a table alone." He whispered and I nodded smiling. "Since on Halloween, you ditched me."
"Excuse me, you never ask me to any parties, Loki and I made a deal," I said. "Now out, I need to get ready for training Loki."
"Loki, Loki, Loki! you're always with him, you haven't come to a training session without him in forever!" He groaned and suddenly picked me up.
"B-Buck!" he opened the door and Loki looked up, he was in training clothing, joggers and the same T, "Bucky! Put me down!" I tried squirming but his metal arm latched onto my hips. "Bucky I'm wearing a skirt!"
"No! you're spending time with me without the puppy dog!." He growled, not angrily, but probably because Loki was right there, and he sounded almost hungry.
