Chapter Thirty
I walked over and as she pointed at the stairs, Loki sighed and moved to sit, she sat up behind him and began braiding his hair, I smiled and wanted to take a picture of this with my eyes, Loki would be an amazing father, much better than his own, she braided many small braids down his head until it kinda meshed well with his curly locks, she stood up and smiled, Loki looked tired, but he was smiling slightly, suddenly I saw Thor, I stood up and he looked down smiling at the baby, he immediately took the baby from me. "Sir Nathaniel Pietro!" He yelled holding the baby up in the air, making him laugh and giggle, he held him down and I put my hand on his arm, I smiled fondly, and out of the corner of my eye I saw Loki look away, he looked conflicted. Thor was waving the baby around making him laugh when suddenly I saw him nearly DROP the baby.
"THOR!" I snatched Nate from him and sighed. "I swear you're a terrible Uncle," I said and he sighed, I saw Loki stand and walk over to me.
"Children must endure pain to grow."
"NOT A YEAR OLD BABY!" I yelled and he huffed, I sighed and I felt Loki put his hand on my back and I looked at him smiling. "Anyway, I wanna go for a walk, I'm gonna go return him to his mommy," I said and turned walking into the house I heard Loki.
"Thor?" I walked into the house where Laura was making lunch, I put Nate in the play-pen and waved at Laura before running back out, I saw Loki standing there, arms crossed and looking closed off, looking around as I walked up and slipped my hands into his, he unfolded his arms and immediately seemed to open up and take my hands.
"Trust me?" I asked and he nodded, I pulled him and we ran behind the house, and toward the woods, I felt like I did when I was 18, running off behind his place for a moment of silence, but now it was filled with us laughing and skipping over logs, he was just as fast as me so, when we made it to the spot I slowed and made it to a halt, I turned to him and he looked out at the area, it was a clearing with a large tree over the river, I let go of his hand and ran to the tree, I started to climb up it, he followed looking around, he started following me up, but as I sat upon a branch, and watched him reached up, he slipped, and cursed, I flung down grabbing his hand, he looked at me as I pulled him on the branch I sat on, I laid back on the thick branch, he hovered above me as he held onto the one above us.
"When did you find this place?" He asked and I looked down at the water.
"I was 18, and I was curious so I came out here, it's quiet compared to the craziness of Clint's," I said and he nodded. "I loved the quiet."
"I understand it's loud around them, while you were inside Steve and Tony were yelling about wood." He said and I laughed looking at him.
"That's them, they do it every year," I said and he hummed, I looked at him, and I smiled.
"Why are you looking at me like that?" He whispered leaning over me more, I smiled more, he was just so handsome, it was incredible, I always thought he was super attractive, like I thought, godly.
"I L-" I stopped and bit my lip. "I care about you, y'know?" I asked leaning up to him more, our faces now very close.
"I do know, Darling." He whispered and I nodded, I wanted him to know how much I care.
"You do?"
"You've never brought someone out here, right?" He asked looking around and I nodded.
"No, is only ever been me," I said and he smiled.
"But you brought me." He said and I looked at him, he was leaning down again, his hand on the side of my neck. "To a place, you haven't brought anyone else." He said and I stared at him, I didn't realize I did that.
