Misson Delayed.

Chapter Eight

Two months later

Steve woke me up that morning, his hand on my arm. "Y/N, the team needs to talk to you and Loki, come, get him." He said and I sat up nodding.

"Why?" I asked slipping out of bed and he hummed.

"You should wait till we're With everyone. Come on Doll." He said grabbing my hand and leading me out, it was nearing the end of December, and over the last two months, people's views on Loki haven't changed, except they've learned to trust him with me, and in the group only in certain ways, I walked to Loki's door and knocked, hearing a long hum as a response I opened the door seeing him laying on his stomach shirtless. I bit down on my lip seeing the muscle in his back as I walked over, I pressed my hand into his shoulder causing him to grumble, he was tense I could feel it.

"Zmeya, wakey," I whispered. "We have a sudden meeting to attend," I said and he turned his head to look at me, he hummed.

"Alright, Darling." He whispered getting up, by sliding back and off the bed, darling was a reoccurring nickname, he didn't call me it often, but often enough that I didn't forget he gave it to me. He grabbed a sweater as I stood he pulled it on himself as I walked to the door, Steve stood at the elevator, and I walked over, Loki walked out of his room and faltered a few steps seeing Steve but came up behind me quickly, he seemingly has been clung to my back when specific people were near, it started since we trained back two months ago. Steve was one of them, along with Sam and Buck, he did the opposite with others, when my brother and sister walked in, he moved away, and his brother was one as well. I found myself in the elevator with the two men and we all stood silently, when the doors opened we walked into the conference room where everyone was, but I faltered a bit, seeing Fury.

"Agent Maximoff." Fury said and I nodded.

"Fury, what's going on?" I asked and he smiled.

"I have a mission for the whole group, but you are joining today because we need your... ability." He said and I nodded.

"Which would that be?" I asked.

"Well we need to heist a HYDRA base, but there's a hidden part inside the other side of a mountain, of we use your elemental sensory, you can find and get to it the fastest, but you need to go with only one other person, and we're sending you a day early so you can find it before we do anything reckless." Fury explained.

"Who then?" I asked and Fury looked past me, I turned and followed his gaze which was on the annoyed-looking Loki who stared at the floor. "Loki?" I asked looking back at Fury, immediately Buck, Sam, Steve, Thor, and Pietro, the protective men of the group protested, but Fury held his hands up, Loki was now standing next to me.

"We've analyzed you two together, you two seem to be the best fit for this, not only in your ability but in trust, you two trust each other the most, even Stark has agreed. I think it's a good opportunity for Loki to see what we're all about, what do you say you two?" He asked and I looked at Loki.

"I would say no, but if it's with her, and a way to stretch my legs, I'll agree," Loki said and I smiled a little.

"Any mission given to me is one I'll take." I smiled.

"Good, Tony has made Loki some new limiters, designed specifically for his powers, they'll restrict certain ones, like teleportation, or possession, the ones that can lead to more harm than good, and others you can use the beneficial ones." Fury said and Loki looked ecstatic. "You'll be sent off xtomorrow, we'll prepare your things for the mission, you two get ready, and we'll put the limiters on first thing in the morningz." I turned and nodded. "Oh and Agent Maximoff." Fury said, I turned.
