"Good morning sleepy head" you gentle spoke as you turned to face lando who was still closed eyed.
"Mm?" He mumbled as he pushed his hand further under the pillow
"It's time to get up, it's race day" you smiled. After yesterday and all the problems running with it you knew today would be good, lando seemed ready to fight after his knock back.
"I'd rather stay here" he muttered as he grabbed your hand
"Well we can't but I'll tell you what"
"What?" He replied
"Tuesday morning, back at home, I say we stay in bed till 11. Maybe go for a walk after but I think we should do absolutely nothing"
"That sounds like a good plan, good morning to you too" he finally said as he rolled over to drag himself out of bed

You didn't mention anything about yesterday as you thought it was better to just move on from the whole situation. It was 8am and you had to be ready and down for breakfast at 8:45 before leaving at 9 to get to the track. The team had organised a team coach to the track this weekend instead of the mini busses.

"You looking forward to me on the pit wall?" You laughed as you straightened your hair
"Of course! Your going to look beautiful in a rain jacket, mask and head set" lando laughed
"Oi! Is that a dig at me?" You questioned shooting a sarcastic look
"I'm joking" he said as he pulled together a few spare tops for the day.
"Good thing, I might decide to wear my tighter pants today then with remarks like that" you smiled as he struggled with a comeback

Georgie: Williams are leaving same time as you, I'll meet you in reception
You: sure no worries, how you feeling about today?
Georgie: really good, the car felt fast yesterday and we were so close to q3. Let's just cross our fingers for a point
You: oooo that's a big call
Georgie: wow! Ever since you went to McLaren they have literally brainwashed you to take the piss out of us
You: can't deny the facts can we. See you later 🤗

"What are you laughing at?" Lando said
"How George thinks McLaren have brainwashed me thinking how shit Williams is. Like seriously, why do they even do this?" You laughed
"Ooo don't tell him that! To be honest with you though, I ask myself the same question every time" lando giggled

No one hated Williams but it was a standing joke between George and lando especially about who drew the short straw in teams, neither of them will admit who is further behind even though everyone knows Williams like to pace things which isn't really the 'race' ideal.

After packing up your final things for the day you made your way down to breakfast with the rest of the team who like lando were ready to fight for points today.
"Morning Danny" you said as you walked over to the group stood waiting for the coach"
"Morning guys, you ready?" He asked all bubbly
"Always" lando smiled as Daniel let on and went to speak to the others.

"Will you play nice for once?" You muttered to lando as you nudged his arm
"I always do!"
"You never know when you might need a favour from him, Daniel knows your the number one driver. He has your respect" you said sternly looking him in his eyes
"Wait? He - when did he say this?" Lando questioned
"Yesterday when I was giving him physio. He said how he knows your the number one driver and at the end of the day the team would put your needs in front of his. He also knows how he intimidates you" you smiled
"You didn't need to say that to him but whatever. I promise I'll play nice"
"Good"
"Sorry mum" he quickly replied
"Oi!" You said before landos laugh filled the small corner of the room

11:15am
"Ok so Anna, follow me" Andreas said as you were pulled through the garage to the pit wall
"Your the guest on the pit wall today so it's going to be your job to maintain a concept of tires. You know how they work with everything but you need to read the data and make a note every lap. If the treds get too short it turns into slicks and yeah we don't want that today." He explained as you stood in complete confusion but trying to hide it
"Ohh ok. Right. I think I can"
"It's not that hard, the graph basically tells you when you need to alert the team but the driver will be able to tell anyways, Andy will give you a run through but you will ace it"
"Thanks, I'll go find him now" you nodded completely bricking it
