Race day in Baku was always intense, the tight streets, the castle and today was a battle with the heat and the car. It was only five laps in when Lewis was already on the radio complaining about his back from the main straight. It had been an ongoing problems for the team this season, bouncing down main straights and then being physically unable to produce a strong race. Both medics were running high the the points so Toto gave orders that no one is allowed to stop unless the car blows up as a joke.

"Lewis is complying about his back, how are you holding up?" Toto asked George over the radio
"I'm ok, it's pre but I'll make it through. I'm going to need Anna after" he said and you could hear his teeth hitting together as he bounced up the main straight that was 2km.

Following from Monaco where it was slow and smooth this weekend had been painful and both you and Angela had your work cut out after every session. Speaking of Monaco, you and mick hadn't messaged each other all week, well you didn't really expect anything anyway. As you flew straight out to Baku the Monday morning after lando dropped you at the airport, you didn't see him during the week as you were busy in prep with the team. You met lando on Wednesday morning early on for coffee but you took it back to your rooms as you didn't want to be out in public quite so soon. He text you every morning saying good morning and what he was up to and you would do the same. You slowly were returning to what you had. Yet, you couldn't forget that evening when mick kicked you out, you still had a slight bruise under your left eye from when he hit you and you know he was pissed off as that wasn't his character at all. If his parents ever found out, no matter what happened between you they would be shocked by how he acted towards you. While you hated him for what he said and did you still were grateful for everything he did for you and the comfort he gave. Far more than lando would ever give if it was the other way around.

As you sat watching the screens and stats come in from the cars you took notes on the Gs being hit by George on the straight to work out the force on his vertebrae, it was over 6G and that's before you consider any lateral G force from corners.

There was nothing anyone could do to stop the bouncing and as George pushed it only got worse. "I'm heading to catering for some water does anyone want any?" You asked as you decided to head over with one of the standby pit crew.

A few shouted they wanted some so you headed off for a large crate to take back. Mercades catering was down the far end of the pit lane as it was such a small paddock, you managed to get a crate that had been sat in ice at the back of the tent and started wheeling it back up. As you looked ahead up the road, black smoke was pouring out of one of the garages, Ferrari. People ran out the back as alarms were going off, you knew Carlos retired early one due to problems with the car so your only thought was something exploded or it was Charles'. You quickly ran up with the carte and started handing the water to Ferrari mechanics and engineers running out.

Over a loud speaker the race was red flagged and all teams were to evacuate the garages and head to the start line with their cars. You headed back up to Mercades once you had given away all you had and started trying to gather your documents and papers incase of a worse case scenario. The garage was empty bar the few of you but that's when your remembered there was laptops upstairs with data on. You didn't know if they had picked these up but some of the data was crucial to driver performance.

You turned around from the out lane and ran up the stairs to get the laptops. Smoke was pouring in through the windows already from downstairs at Ferrari and it was flooding the room with a dense black smoke. You tried to hold your breath as you made your way down the corridor but had to pull your shirt over your nose and mouth in an aim to stop breathing so much in. You couldn't stop it from tickling your throat, making you cough and you were now covered in the black sut from touching the walls trying to navigate through the rooms. You raced to the window trying to shut it but the metal was so hot you couldn't bare touching it.
