Russell's Cousin- Lando Norris story

Listen to me!

You made your way up to the room and knocked on lightly as it was late on and you didn't want a scene if anyone could hear you.

Footsteps came to the door and the handle moved revealing a messy haired, sun kissed lando.
"Thanks" you said quietly as he remained silent just opening the door
"So go on then. What's happened?" He asked

You didn't know how to explain this, you shuffled around the floor till you sat on the edge of the desk
"Urm."

Your eyes darted around the room for a sign of help in a situation you just had to explain.

"Do you still have feelings?" You abruptly asked
"What?"
"Do you still have feelings?"
"For who?"
"For me..." you quietly said

He sat on the edge of his bed, feet slightly off the floor and with his hands over his nose and mouth working out what to say.
"You have no idea" he laughed in a way you didn't know was good or bad
"Lando please - I just need to know" you said in a way almost pleading for an answer
"If you would of just listened to me all those months ago this would be a totally different conversation. You could of still been sat here. With me. Right now"
"What does that mean? Please lando yes or no"
"Yes! For god sake Anna yes! I don't stop thinking about you every minute of every friggin day, things remind me of you all the time. I can't escape it. I don't want to. Please let me explain the full story of what happened. Please"
"Ok.." you said in a shock

"She came onto me. That's the first thing. She staged things to look like it was something because I was so jealous of the relationship you had with mick. And that's before you left. We didn't invite her. I didn't invite her I don't even know her properly. She was at the same hotel as us, was mutual friends with max and came onto me. If you want to know the full story she was drunk when she posted half the stuff. She was a drug addict. Every morning it was lines of speed or smoking weed. She tried to make me take it and I knew I couldn't be seen around it, not like I wanted to try it anyway. I made her a deal after her threatening to contact McLaren saying I'd taken it that I'd sleep with her.."
"You agreed to sleep with someone because she was blackmailing you?"
"I suppose so yeah.."
"Jesus Christ lando! How fucking stupid are you?!" You said in amazement of what you were hearing
"Listen to me! It was nothing. No emotion. Nothing. When I saw you were off with Schumacher I became so broken - so hurt that I didn't know what to do. I hate to say this and it's awful but I used her, calling her your name just to make me feel as though you weren't gone. Yes I know I fucked her but it wasn't her.. please hear me out. Anna. I can't do this without you. I've been broken all season because what happened. Please. Please?" He said as a tear rolled down his cheek

"Lando I - I don't know what to say."
"You don't need to say anything. It's understandable if you never want to see me again"
"No. I'm sorry we didn't have this conversation sooner. It's just tonight, I think you know what I mean. But mick said you looked at me in a way that was still love and I feel the same. It pissed me off so much when she was around here, I couldn't stand the thought of someone else where I should be. Mick was a rebound. He is lovely I can't deny it and we have had some amazing times but he's just another man. He's not you. He's not my forever."

"I think we both know where we stand" Lando said quietly and you just nodded slowly in response looking at your hands.
"It's up to you but I'm 100% here. She's nothing to do with it" Lando said
"I haven't ended things with mick, he just knows. He isn't stupid. He's been hurt too much to know when the world is against him."
"It's ok, carry on for now. It's your choice"
"No, I want to be with you" you proclaimed
"Then stay"
"Lando I can't - you know I have to get back, it's late."
"Fine. It's ok. We can talk tomorrow after the race. It would be nice to talk more?"
"Please"

"Well I better be off. Goodnight Lan" you smiled
"Goodnight Anna" he replied.

You both stood there in the doorway looking at each other. Lando wrapped his arms around you tightly.
"Thank you for listening. I need you. I really need you"
