Chapter 39: A Request?

It's kinda hard for me to say goodbye earlier than expected. And even though I am happy to see him once again, I am also sad to leave him so soon. Everything was so fast to happen, I almost can't keep up. Earlier, we were just fighting with some goons, but now, we are about to set back to the academy. And it makes me sad to think that i'm leaving him again.

"Come on Daisy~ don't be sad. You're still gonna see him in the near future." Mye said and held me by the shoulder.

"I'm just sad to leave sooner than expected. I just met him again after how many years." I showed her how much I wanted to stay, but we both can't do anything about it, I guess.

"I know how you feel, but how about the academy? It is dangerous for everyone there without you." She said. Making me pout, because she has a point.

"And don't forget that we still have a mission to plan when we get back." Tracey was the one to say.
"We still need to find out how to keep you hidden, and of course, your full extent to be determined." He explained and we all nodded as an answer.

"The main question is... Will we make it all the way to the top of the mountain? Will we be okay with this? Will we come back alive? Will I ever return unlike those unlucky people who're same as me?" I asked, and we all went silent.

"Why you negative nincompoop!" Guinevere said and hit me at the back of my head, making me hold it while complaining about it. "Can't you just tell us something to make us more inspired to continue, not some nonsense, piece of shits!" She said strictly and was about to hit me again.

"Okay! Okay! I won't say such things again, just don't hit me. It hurts!" I said and let out a sigh. "I know that it's a bit hard for us to say if we will really come back..." She was about to hit me again, but I escaped easily and said. "But let's all try our best okay? Help each other out and never leave one behind. That's the only way for us to find out our true nature!" Okay that was it. I added a bit of positivity towards it, or else, I might have been hit again.

"Ata girl! You really are a realiable one!" She said and slap my shoulder, making me flinch and rub it. She's really an amazona sometimes!

Third Person

With Team Alpha talking to each other. Granger can't help but feel pissed when Guinevere hit Daisy in the head.

"How dare she?! I wouldn't even let a fly touch her but she just hit her easily like that?!" He was about to approach them, when Marc stopped him.

"Let them be. It's how their friendship is." He said and even though Granger wants to teach Guinevere a lesson, he just sighed and listened to Team Alpha's conversations more.

"I know that it's a bit hard for us to say if we will really come back..."
'Okay she must be an idiot that wants to be hit again.' Granger thought, but after seeing Guinevere... "But let's all try our best okay? Help each other out and never leave one behind. That's the only way for us to find out our true nature!" He just sighed in defeat at he saw them happily talking to each other.

"You really missed her that much?" Marc asked while standing beside him. Granger didn't answer at this, so he just chuckled. "I know it will be hard for you, because she'll leave again. But hey! At least you get to see each other again." He said. "Unlike me, it's already been twenty years, but still... I couldn't find my brother. So consider yourself lucky. Young lad." He said and smiled.
Granger on the other hand, looked at him for a bit, and asked.

"Where did you see him last?" He asked.

"After the trial of dawn... He was also sent to the academy, but... That was all I know. I was just 10 when that happened, and my parents both died two years later, so I really never got to see or know about him again."

"Didn't they left something for you to remember about him though?"

"Yeah, but I lost it when I tried to fight the duskians one time." He explained and Granger just looked at him with no expression.

"Do you still remember his name?"

"Not exactly, but I sometimes have this dream of someone saying protect me. I don't know what's that for though, but I feel that that person in my dream, is my brother." Marc explained.

"It might be hard for us to find him, because you don't know his name. But... Let's try to ask for help from Daisy. She might find something more for your brother at the academy." Granger said, and Marc looked at him with hopeful eyes.

"But asking her is too much! She already did something for us. I can't let her bare something that she's not even involved!"

"Believe me or not, she won't let this slide even if we try to hide it." Granger was about to walk towards Team Alpha, when Marc held him.

"I'll be the one to talk." He said and Granger just nodded his head before both of them approached the said team.

Daisy

"Oh? What's up future husband of our baby! how may we help you?" Rose asked, and I blushed at the words.

"We're just here to ask something." Granger answered, and because of his remark, every girls looked at me with teasing eyes.

"Stop that now everyone! He's serious. He's about to ask a serious one, not here to play around." I said and shrugged his shoulder. Everyone then rolled their eyes to my answer and Marc laughed.

"I can't believe you can read him that easily."

"Well, we've been together for how many years... And he's ny childhood friend, so~ how may we help you?" I asked and he looked at Granger for a second, and after seeing the other nod, he spoke.

"I want to make a request to all of you... Please find my brother at the academy and tell me if he's okay or not." Okay, that was unexpectedly not what I thought I would hear.

"You have a brother at the academy?!" Guinevere almost shouted, making everyone inside look at us with curiousity. We all glared at her and she just chuckled embarrassingly. "Sorry everyone~ just my usual curious self, don't mind! Continue~" This time, she lowered her voice.
Marc let out a sigh and said.

"It's a long story, but... Can you please help me with it?" He pleaded. I tried to ask him some questions but only few of them are answered.

"It might be hard for us to find him, because you don't know his name. But... Let's try and do our best! We might find something more about your brother." I said and he just looked at me with surprised eyes. "Did I said something wrong?" I asked.

"Unbelievable!" He remarked and thanked us all after. Before readying ourselves to leave the palace and go back to the academy.
