Chapter 49: Finding the Gate

Daisy

"Hey~ Hey, wake up. We got to go~"

"Five more minutes please~ i'm still sleepy~" I quitely said and let out a sigh before actually hiding myself in my blanket.

"Well then I guess we'll just leave you here alone, and... We'll get going now." I heard the voice again, but I didn't mind about this.

I just sighed and was about to be unconscious again, when...

"Oh dear! The mission!" I sprang out of my place and went outside, with a water bottle in my hand. I went away from all of them and hid behind some bushes to take care of my needs. Then I went back to ready myself up.

"Oh look! She's awake. I guess Granger's words were like bombs to her ears." Jade laughed at what he said. And I just pouted. I also noticed that everyone of them is ready and that the tent I was in, was the only one left standing.

"Unbelievable!" I thought and just used my magic to put them away, and be ready to leave.

"Well that was fast." Rose commented as I walk towards Tracey.

"So where are we going again?" I asked as I forgot where we are about to head.

"That way." He pointed to our left side, before we all started to take our steps forward.

We didn't talk after that and just followed Tracey and Guinevere as they lead the path we're taking.
And as we walk nearer to our destination, the feeling of uneasiness just can't piss off of me. I am feeling a bit heavy inside of me, and that feeling is getting worse everytime we take a step. Making it hard for me to breath like I am suffocating.

"Hey, are you okay?" Granger walked beside me and asked silently to not alarm the others. I think he also doesn't want them to be worried.

"I just feel uneasy, but i'm still fine. Just unable to breath properly. Maybe nervous? I don't know." I answered and he looked at me, I smiled to assure him.

"If you feel worse, just tell us okay?"

"I will." We stopped talking after that, but he remained by my side and every minute, he would look at me as if I am some kind of a criminal who's needed to be watched out.

We all stopped when our leaders halted. They looked around, but I could feel something wrong about everything in here.

"That's weird." Guinevere said, making me walk towards them. "The gate was supposed to be here. But it's nothing but..."

"Forests." Rose said, so we all looked around. Hoping to find the gate that we were talking about. But we failed.

"Maybe there is something that we're missing. A hint to open the gate?" Mye said and we all agreed. "Let's look at the map again." She said and we all did.
But as we all explored the front, back and sides of the map... We've got nothing!

"That's it... We're definitely done. We've got nowhere to go." Jade said and sat down on one of his orbs while having a glum expression. Everyone also did the same expression.

"Oh come on guys! I'm sure we'll figure this out somehow! Let's just believe in ourselves and-" I stopped with what I was saying, because I felt a sudden sting in my head. I can't stop the throbbing as it gets heavier by every second, making me hold to it as tight as I could.

"Are you okay?" I heard Mye asked worriedly.

"What's going on?"

"She must be feeling unwell? Why haven't you told us?" Their voices is starting to get inaudible, and it is really giving me a creepy vibe.

I closed my eyes as I feel like my head is being struck by something really sharp that passed my skin and into my brain! And then, I heard a sound of water drop.
I opened my eyes and all I saw, was nothing but darkness.

"Hello?" I called out but heard no one. "Please answer if someone hears me!" I tried to talk even if my head still hurts. "Help me get out of here!" I continued. "Please! I need to save some people! I need to save someone!" This is also the time that my head felt lighter than normal.
Then I heard the water drop again, making me look behind me.

I was shocked to see the surroundings change. It now has beautiful plants everywhere. Trees, flowers, and everything. It was so calming to see such nature. But what made me curious the most, was the house in the middle of it. I walked closer to the house.

There, I saw a man, sitting inside that beautiful little house, like he was waiting for someone. A table in front of him, and some sacks by his side. He looked like some kind of a middle-ranked beggar for some reason. He looked around the house, and when he looked at his side, I saw a glint of it. But seeing that face, made me surprised.

"Granger?" I asked myself and walked near the house.

"He-" As I was about to talk. When it felt like my voice doesn't want to come out. I tried to talk again, but no voice was heard from me.

"What the hell is going on here?" I thought, but after seeing a woman emerge from the house, holding a tray of food and water, puts the tray in front of him and he starts eating up, I was more than surprised.
I mean, I am really sure that I saw Granger. I am definitely sure that he is Granger, so I walked towards them again. But the more I try to go near them, I just felt like being pulled back and being put back to where I was at earlier. I think something is trying to stop me from going closer.

I heard the drop of water again, and this time. I saw the girl stand up, went behind him and looked down. And when she looked up. I was more than surprised.
The expression I have right now is really unbelievable, no I guess priceless? I don't know what to say. That face... Why would I see it there? I mean, why would she-

I gathered all of my strength and tried to run as fast as I can, but to no avail. I just couldn't even get closer to the house. So my last hope, is to call for him. I gathered all of my energy and inhaled deeply. Then, without ever exhaling, I...

"G-Gra... Graaangeeeeeer!!!" I shouted at the top of my lungs and everything went white, as I was drawn away from them. "Nooo!!!" I yelled while reaching my hand out to them. Then, everything went pitch black again.
