I woke up feeling lightheaded. But after noticing something strange, I quickly went out of the bed I was on and called.

"Hello? Anyone here?!" I called, and I heard chatters outside, so I walked towards the door. And when I opened it, I saw everyone sitting at a square table, while the cyclops was with them. "Oh? What'd I missed?" I asked and they all looked at me with unbelievable expression.

"Now I am like, having a deja vu." Guinevere explained and laughed awkwardly.

"I still can't believe that she is the long lost phoenix." The cyclops said. "I mean, she was so familiar to me, and when I saw her eyes earlier, everything hit me." He explained.

"Well yeah, I am the phoenix bearer. See?" I waved both my hands and show him an orange aura with a symbol of the phoenix in it.

"Okay, what you showed us was really shocking, we didn't know that a story was hidden in there. But I think it's time for us to go, we still have a long way before reaching the peak of the mountain." Tracey said, but the cyclops stopped him.

"It's already night time. You all need to take a rest. Sleep for now and charge your energy." He explained, and he gave us the permission to sleep in his bed. But even if everyone is already asleep. I can't stop thinking about what they were talking about earlier.
They explained everything to me, and about the story that they have witnessed. So I went outside, only to see the cyclops sitting on the entrance of the cave. Looking up at the stars.

"Can't sleep?" I asked and he looked at me. "May I join you?"

"Yeah, sure." He said and tapped the space beside him, clearing the place from dust. I sat beside him and looked at the stars. Not really knowing what to say, until a lightbulb hit my head.

"How did you know about the real story of the phoenix? I thought the guards only served the royal family in battles and is always guarding the whole place?" I asked, and he waived his head no.

"Every rule at the mountain is different from the rules down here. We don't guard anything at the main palace. Nor guard someone from harm. We only excell in battles, no more.
The king gives us the freedom to do what we want, but also, with limits that is." He explained and looked up again, as if he is trying to remember something. "I was the type of guard who would always follow the phoenix around everytime I don't have anything to do. Don't get me wrong, I don't have any romantic feelings for her. It's just that, I considered her as my little sister. And that feeling didn't changed even after the time that she asked her dad, if I could be her personal guard." He smiled happily. "That feeling I had when I heard the news that her father agreed, was the best feeling ever. My dreams, coming true in an instant.

Then she asked, why do I always follow her around? Of course I was surprised, because I thought that she didn't noticed. But after telling her the truth, she gave me a happy smile and from that day on, she also considered me as her older brother." He explained and looked at me with glinted eyes. I smiled from his touching story. It was so inspiring! Then she looked down sadly, making me worry.  "I was there... When the empress tried to poison her mind about going down the mountain and helping that young fellow." He clenched his fist, and I could see that he is trying his best not to burst. "I want to run towards her, and stop her. But seeing her face filled with excitement I never saw before, made my whole body go against me. I just stood there, looking at her while she turned into a silhouette." His tears started to form from his eyes, but he wiped them before it falls.

"Is that the reason why you got so surprised after seeing me burst earlier? Because I look like her?" I asked and he looked at me first, then nodded.

"And that person she tried to save. That man, who she tried to help out. Looked like that Granger guy with you." With what he said, I was taken aback. Now everything is getting more vivid to me. Why I saw him at my vision, why all of that makes no sense at first, but now it does.
A tear escaped down my eyes as I remember everything from my vision.
I don't know what to say now. I am feeling pain. "Please don't cry. I hate seeing you cry." He said and wiped my cheeks, but after realizing something, he said. "Sorry, force of habits."

"I-It's okay, you two must be really that close huh?" I smiled at him.

"We were closer than any sibling could be." He explained and we giggled at his remark.

"Say, do you exactly look like that? Or was it just because of the curse?" I asked, and he sighed.

"It was the curse yeah... I don't look like this. I used to look like you guys, come on! Did you really think that I will even try my best to approach the phoenix in this kind of form? HAHAHA! You gotta be kidding me!" He laughed, and that made me laugh.

"Why not? You're still kind, and cute, for some reasons." I answered and he looked at me with a mix of happiness and sadness.

"You know, she also used to say that to me." She smiled.

"Really? Oh my goodness, i'm so sorry! I didn't mean to-"

"HAHA! Calm down will you? It's fine." He said, making me sigh in relief. "In fact, I am thankful. because if it wasn't because of you, I won't be able to feel this much happiness again. You made me feel like she is back." He explained, and I smiled at him.

"I am happy to know that." I said, and thought of something exciting. "What if I try to break your curse? And you come with us to go back to your home?" I said and he looked at me with knitted eyebrows. "You know what I mean~" I said and he waived his head no.

"It's impossible. The curse is unbreakable. Not until the phoenix is back, that is."

"Well how would we know if we don't try?" I raised a brow at him and stand up. "Come on! Come on! Let's try it!" I said and pulled him up. He didn't refused and just stand up and followed.
We stood in front of each other and I tried to focus. "Okay~ here goes nothing." I said and waved my hands. I tried to focus more and even though I don't know what he looks like, I tried my best to tell my magic to please break the curse and help him get back to his past form.
Although it's a bit hard for me, I still did my best.

"Hey, are you okay? You're turning red." He said as I keep on doing what I am doing. "Please stop, there must be another way! Also, I can't let you do this if you're just gonna hurt yourself." He said and held my shoulders, making me shocked.

Just then, a surge ran through my veins, and I felt lightheaded, then, after a couple of seconds. I saw a vision, well it's more of a flashback if you ask me, and after that, I... Lost consciousness.
