Chapter 13: An Ambush?

We arrived at Genesis Academy. And it was a bit quite for some reason, making it a bit creepy, for this school really is a hidden one. It may not look old physically, but the aura around it seems so.

"Jade, does this place always have this kind of quiteness everytime?" Sky asked and I could see that it gave her goosebumps for some reason.

"No. To be quite precise, this place is always joyful and full of happy voices." Jade answered and is also curious about what us happening.

"Don't need to think too much about all that. They might still be traumatized by what happened to them." This time, Marc was the one who answered. While I... Just tried to look around and it's a good thing to do, because I saw a spikey thorn of a Rose's vine, slashing towards Zandre, making me get my gun.

"Watch out!" I screamed and shot the thorns. Good thing it stopped and split in half.

"That was close~" Sky was feeling scared for a moment and went near to check his brother. "You okay?"

"Yeah... I was just, surprised." Zandre answered.

"Why would you do that?" I saw how Jade used his manipulation and in just a split second, we saw someone floating in the air with an aura around her that matches with Jade's.

"For Genesis!" She cried.

"Attaaack!!!" We were all caught off guard, when all of them started to attack us simultaneously.

"Whoa! Easy there!" I heard Marc said, and when I looked at him, I saw how he tried to defend himself. He used his sword to block anything that might hit him.

"We've come in peace!" Zandre said and used his shield to cover for her sister.

"Peace you say? HA! Don't give us bullshit!" Someone from the attacker said and used a wand to cast a spell on him. But, the shield protected him.

"Be careful everyone! They are not like those weaklings earlier!" Another said and we all faced each others back as we were sorrounded by all of this unknown predators.

"Please! We came from the Empire of Dawn!" Jade say as loud as he could and used his magic to show the logo of the empire.

"And why would we believe with some mere strangers?! How would we know that you're not just some imposters trying to fool us?!" That very first person said while trying to sound sarcastic.

"We have proof. Here!" Sky showed the letter that was delivered to Queen Imea. "There is also this dove that showed us the way." She explained and everyone was looking intently at us, like they are examining us from head to toe, eyes to soul.

"What is going on here?" We heard a voice of a middle aged woman approaching. "We heard some noise, so care to explain- Oh my gosh! Welcome my dear guests!" She called out for us and smiled sweetly. She also hurried up her pace. "You must have had a long journey. I was informed by the queen about your arrival, and we are grateful for your kindness in visiting us here today." She said and looked at everyone. "Everyone! Give your respects for these elites, for they are the legendary royal guards of the palace!" She said and everyone was shocked. Good for them though.
