Chapter 47: Changes in Plans

Eeeh~ I don't know what to say right now. This conversation is making me sleepy! I am also tired about earlier, I mean come on! We trained like hell and we'd be talking about the mission after?! I can't keep up!

"Hey! Daisy? Are you still with us?"

"Huh? Wait what-?" I was jolted when I heard Professor Greg called out my name.

"Looks like someone really got tired from earlier~" Guinevere joked, so I just smiled wearily at her. "Oooh? You still got a long journey before you learn to keep up with us!" She continued, and it made me realize, that I am the only one weared out here! They were all still listening carefully!

"I'm really sorry everyone. I think I need to go and have some rest." I excused and it's a good thing they agreed.

I went back to the dorm and washed up first before actually going go bed. It has been a very long day for me, and really tiring.

"I hope I can keep up with them soon though." I said to myself, before laying in bed and closing my eyes.

Next Morning~

I heard a knock on the door. And it was really fast and serious. Sounds like something is not right here.

"Daisy? Please wake up!" I heard Mye's voice sounding worried, so I got up and opened the door.

"What's up-"

"No time to explain! Ready yourselves up! The dean wants to talk to us all. I mean, team alpha and the elites." She explained, and we all went out after readying ourselves.

We hurried our way towards the main training room, where everyone except us five are waiting. And the other professors are also here? Now this is really urgent!

"What seems to be the problem dean? You look pale for some reason." Rose asked, and she's right. Not just the dean, but also everyone are looking glum.

"Well, there has been reports of missing people at the kingdom. And they don't know where they went and how they vanished like that!" Professor Eurie was the one to explain.

"Isn't Sky and Zandre left in there with the queen?" Rose asked.

"That is the main problem! Both of them also disappeared, just the night before yesterday!" She also said, making us look into each other curiously.

"Have they tried searching for them everywhere?" I know it was a rethorical question, but just to make sure! What could possibly go wrong?

"They already have. But no updates whatsoever. All of those who tries to seek for them, also becomes a victim." Dean Jean explained, and it made me worry.
If there isn't anyone protecting the palace right now, then it is really vulnerable for them when an attack happens.

"Guys? I think you need to rush and get back to the palace to side with the queen. It's too dangerous for the palace without you guys, especially now that the general is gone." I explained, but they all waived no as an answer. I crunched my brows with their answer.

"The queen made a protective barrier to hide the palace from plain sight. No one can leave and enter there now. It's for the best." Professor Eurie said.

"She also made a message for you guys. Here!" Professor Rylie gave us a piece of paper that is folded. Yep! A scroll. He gave it to me, so I took it and opened up the message.

Team Alpha,

   This might be too much for me to ask, since you guys are up to something, and I know that you all are busy right now. But I want to make a request that I think, only you can solve.
You see, my soldiers, and some of my subjects are starting to disappear from our sights! Even the general and his sister have gone missing, and no one knows where they are right now.
   I am really worried about all of them, and I can't leave the palace alone, or it'll be a game over for us with dusk. So I want you all to please help me find all of them. And when you do, report to me at once!

   I also have a hunch that they might have been kidnapped by the said enemies, but I also think that it's impossible, since those people never really leave the palace.
So the only thing that I want you to do right now, is to continue your mission and find out what happened to the said missing people."

That's what the message says. I read it aloud in front of them, and they all had the same expression in their faces.

"We have to do it! Otherwise we won't know what happened!" Guinevere said and I nodded as an answer.

"But aren't we leaving tomorrow?" Mye asked.

"No! This turn of events has made me think otherwise." Traceler said and we all looked at him. "We have to make a move now, or else it'll be too late to even save a single soul." He explained.

"He's right! We start with the mission now, to finish it as soon as possible. Then afterwards, we may start looking for them." I second the motion.

"Prepair yourselves everyone! We will now start the mission. Operation Etania Mountain! Commense!" Guinevere said and we didn't talk again and just ran towards our dorm to get the things that we need.

I quickly took my wand, then I went to the closet to look for something to wear. And then I saw the cloth that Jaime gave me that very day.
I held it and had second thoughts on whether I should wear it or not, but after realizing that there is no time to loose. I quickly took it and wore.

It is a black, long sleeved crop-top with a colar, and has a matching black shorts. It has a belt anyway. I also got the black maong jacket that I saw on the closet and wore it.
Then I wore a knee sock, also colored black and wore a black shoes. Then I reached out to my drawer to get the Foundation Crystal. And wore it. It still fits! I hid my wand under my sleeves and went out with my bag full of other important things.

When I walked out, they were all eyes on me. So I raised a brow at them and said.
"What?"

"Nothing! It's just... Kinda new to see you wearing such clothes to be honest." Guinevere said, and I pouted.

"Please! I wear something similar sometimes."

"No time to talk. Let's go!" Tracey said and we all went outside the dorm to meet with the others in the main training room.

There we saw three of them, in new clothes. I was amazed by their styles! So cool!

"Whoa! You guys are looking incredible!" Rose commented.

"Timekeeper Aadila!" Jade said and posted with his hands in front and a key floating above it.

"Vampiric Blade!" Marc said and pushed his sword down.

"Black Sonata." Granger's voice were more than a bass' voice. And I noticed his clothes were somewhat similar to me.

"Oh lookie~ we have a couple!" Guinevere said and I just shrugged my shoulders. I knew she would say such thing.

"But they are a couple, right?" Mye asked and it made me blush a bit, but didn't mind.

"No time to talk, let's all go!" I changed the topic and they all agreed.

After that, we walked outside the school. But this time, no professors with us. Just me and team alpha with three members of the royal elites, and no more. We walked deeper into the forest and looked at the map Professor Greg gave us.

"Okay, so first of all, we need to find the Gates of Truth." Guinevere said and we all looked around.
"From a big tree you can see~
Three paths in which to thee~
Pick the path in which you trust~
And hurry up because you must!"
She read.
