Chapter 69: Real Family

The reactions on both Mina and Danny were of both shock and unbelieved, making the couple look at each other with curious stares.

"Is there something wrong?" Daisy asked and Mina made a sad smile.

"N-Nothing dear~ I just remembered someone special." Mina answered and Danny was quick to aid her.

"We were just surprised. You have the same name as our daughter, who vanished years ago." Danng explained.

"Really? And what is the reason for her to vanish?" Granger asked, and Danny waived his head.

"It's impossible for you both to understand. You won't believe it anyways." He explained.
"Why are you both here?" He asked again.

"We were looking for this place." Daisy said and gave the paper thay Granger was holding unto earlier. The couple read the writing, and when they did, they look at each other and looked at the children.

"This is our address." Mina answered with curious look.

"Is it?" Granger asked with a shocked expression.

"Yes, it is. We are the Aurum Family." Danny then answered.

"But why would you have our address? Who told you? Is there something wrong? What can we help you with?" Mina asked questions that made Daisy unable to speak. "Dear? Are you okay?" Mina asked again, and this time, Daisy's tears started to fall.

"Oh my goodness! Are you hurt? You must be tired! Where did you two came from? Are you by any chance... Some foster kids?" The old woman sitting beside Mina asked.

"No! We came from a place called Aurora's Land, and we came here to meet the people on that paper. Because... We believe that they are her real family." Granger explained while holding Daisy's hand to support her from crying.

"What do you mean?" Danny asked and looked at both of them with surprise.

"My name is Daisy Aurum. I have been raised at the Lands of Aurora to protect an empire I didn't know existed. I experienced so much pain and loss at the place, and I also learned to live by myself.
If you don't know the place. It is not visible to the eyes of the people living in here. That place is different from yours. Everything is possible in there. Magic, light and dark ones, everything!

After all those years of living like hell, and witnessing my whole foster family being killed by some cold bloodied enemies. I started to learn  more things that helped me to become the most powerful being at the land.

But after what Granger told me about my real family being alive out here, we... We promised to find them and see if they are still doing okay." Daisy sniffed as she tell the story to everyone in front of her. The shocked expression on Mina and Danny's face were priceless.

"You're name is Daisy Aurum?" The old woman beside Mina asked and Daisy nodded as an answer. "You have the same name as my lost granddaughter." A tear escape from the old lady's eyes.

"Aurora's Land. I know that place." Mina answered, making both children look at her. "That was our former home." She held her mom's hand and looked at Daisy, now having a surprised expression.
"Here we stand open arms~
This is home where we are~"
She started singing, and everyone went silent.
"Ever strong in the world ~
That we made~"
This time, her mother joined in.
A tear escaped once again on her eyes as she saw Daisy looking at her with surprised eyes.

"I still hear you in the breeze~
See your shadows in the trees~
Holding on memories~
Never change~"
They both got into a big hug as they immediately realized everything.

"Oh my child! You came back! You came back!" Mina cried her heart out when she finally saw her long lost daughter for years. "I am worried everyday! I kept on waiting for you, hoping for you to safely return!" She said and kissed her daughter on the forehead.

"Mama! I missed you so much! I thought I wouldn't be able to come back anymore! They made me forget about everything! And if it wasn't because of Granger, I wouldn't find out." She cried and Danny looked at Granger with shocked eyes. Then she embraced his family. While silently saying thank-you to Granger.

"Look at you! Look at you! My dear lovely granddaughter! You've grown exceeding my expectations! I am so proud of you!" The old woman said. And the other, looked at her with glinted eyes.

"I knew there was something interesting about you! Come here! Give your granny a big hug!" Then they all went into a big group hug, before sitting properly again.

They talked about what happened and how the former queen made her forget about everything from outside Aurora's Land, and how he met Granger before Northern Dawn was attacked, to the part about the trial, then her studies at Genesis Academy. And how they went on a journey to Etania Mountain and got controlled before putting an end to Dusk Empire's bad plans.

"Oh my! You really did went through a lot haven't you? How dare that empire! I told them to take care of you, and all i'll be hearing is this?!" Mina said with a pissed tone.

"It's okay mom. If it wasn't because of them, I wouldn't be able to find out who I really am. And haven't I told you that I will try my best to find out who I am at that place? Well look now! I am the new ruler of Etania Mountain!" She said excitedly and looked at everyone.

"What?" Her mom then had a worried expression on her face. "But that place is-"

"I've heard the story mom. But it's okay now! Everything is at peace in there. All of the empires are now at peace. No one will defimitely try to cause war again, not when i'm around." She proudly said.

"But if you're the new ruler. Then that means, you should go back in there. And you'll leave us again." Mina said with a sad expression. Making Daisy realize it.
Gloom filled the air again, but Granger said.

"It's fine! I can manage the place. Now that the land is at peace, you may live here with your family again." He smiled, even though he felt a sting in his left chest.

"But how about you?" Daisy asked sadly.

"Come on! You know that I am a strong man. But if living with you means taking you away from your family and seeing you sad? It'll make me weak. So let me do the trick. And don't worry, i'll just come visit when I get the chance." He explained.

"What? You can also go up the mountain?" Mina's mother asked.

"Yeah, we are the emperor and empress of Etania now. It was the former emperor who gave us the blessing." Daisy explained and Mina looked at Danny with mixed emotions.

Danny then looked at Mina with understandable eyes and smiled at her. Then he looked at Granger seriously.

"Do you love my daughter?" Granger then almost blushed at this and gulped. Daisy then looked at her father with shock. "Well, do you?"

"I-(sigh) I do sir." He answered and bowed while starting to sweat.

"And do you promise to make her happy at all costs?"

"I will do my best to serve her right sir." Granger answered and looked at Danny in the eyes. It lasted for a minute.

"Very well then. Welcome to the family my boy!" Danny hugged him tightly, making him awkwardly hug back.

"Dear, you have to go with him. Back to Etania."

"But how about you? And why the change of thoughts?" Daisy was surprised to hear her mom's words.

"You have now found your own happiness dear! And it's not in this place. But at Aurora's Land." Mina gave her a smile.
