two years ago is when that void was filled.

he met choi beomgyu two years ago, when there were in their second year of high school. the older was a little taller than him back then but was the cutest lil bean taehyun had ever seen. his light brown hair was flowy and his glasses sat on the bridge of his nose. his pure white hoodie hugged around his small figure and his trousers embraced his slim waist. taehyun thought he was beautiful, everyone did.

except one person. kai kamal huening.  truth be told, he was jealous of the newcomer especially since he was taking his long-time crush. it was something he was extremely angry for, it was kinda embarrassing for someone to be taking who love when you already declared your love for them in middle school.

beomgyu and taehyun instantly clicked, whispering in the middle of class and hanging out after school. you would almost always catch them laughing together and sitting close and if you didn't know better, you would think they were one of those sickeningly cheesy couples.

that all changed when taehyun and huening kai started dating in the middle of second year. apparently, taehyun had conffessed to the latter and he was over the fucking moon. finally he was receving the love that he deserved. their whole year group came to know of the new couple and congratulated them, some were a little jealous that they couldn't get the man they wanted. anyhow, everyone supported the two, giving them words of encouragement for their relationship to be a healthy one.

when beomgyu came around to hear the news of the newly blossomed relationship from his hyungs, he felt a slight pang in his heart. truth be told, he was falling for taehyun. he had always hated how quickly he had fallen for people, and always thought it was a downside to his personality.

but he felt that something was different that taehyun had that differed from the rest of his his crushes. how mature he was, how handsome  he was. beomgyu was jealous, he was, but he was in no place to break up their relationship. he only had to hide his pain once again.

the first class was drawing to an end as the students packed up for their next lesson. kang taehyun wanted nothing but to get out of the suffocating room, and to get to his next period on time.

the latter couldn't describe how thick the air was, someone could cut it with a butter knife. yeonjun had found out his true identity with one glance into his eyes. the pink-haired was always good at suspecting the right people, and taehyun had been fidgeting too much that morning.

two years had past after he had saw him; taehyun was racking his brain, wondering how their encounter must have happened. yeonjun had cursed him and kai after the whole incident, so had fate really given them a second chance? he was considering taking to beomgyu but had made the conclusion that he didn't remember as the latter had asked for his name.

the blonde tended to overthink things very easily and was diagnosed with clinical depression a year back. he was an natural introvert who loved being alone. he only talked to kai, and doesn't bother making friends.

there was a free period for the second class so pupils had to stay in their classrooms. taehyun had made his way to huening's class, dragged him by the arm and led him to the neighboring hallway.

"what the hell-"

"they're back."

"what are you talking about?" 

"yeonjun, soobin and beomgyu hyung are back."

huening's eyes doubled in size, he didn't even think they were in the country!

"i thought they had left, we couldn't find them-"

"i know, kai, and i can't deal with this right now."

"you can't leave me here!"

but taehyun was already exiting the school building, his destination not as clear as day in his mind.

just to let you know, huening kai's is not evil anymore.
