Mistyleaf looked at the two cats, pausing to choose her words to reply to their announcement to her. "Okay...what's the 'prophecy' you're talking about?" She was cautious with how she spoke, using a tone that made her sound suspicious and serious. She wanted to be mature in front of PineClan so that if she were to become leader, cats from other Clans would respect her.

"Well..." the PineClan cat hesitated. "I don't remember the exact words we were told, but apparently the 'Four' will save the Clans with the frosty lynx sheltered by the raven's wing. At least, that's what I remember hearing in a dream. Oh, by the way, my name's Quailheart."

"I'm Mistyleaf, the BirchClan deputy," Mistyleaf introduced herself. "And I know the prophecy. The raven's wing and frosty lynx..."

"Your kits," Applefall meowed.

Mistyleaf nodded. "Lynxheart, Frostpaw, and Ravenmist." She almost cringed saying Ravenmist's name. Although she chose his name, it still brought back a lot of deep memories. "But...the Four? You're only two cats. What about the other two?"

"Those two cats are in OakClan and MapleClan. We all met in a dream, and they were there," Quailheart explained. "We were hoping to all meet before the next Gathering, tonight..."

Mistyleaf nodded. "Then you two will go. I'll keep the prophecy hidden, don't worry, and I'll give an excuse for your absence. I can let Applefall get out free, but I can't boss around PineClan cats. Quailheart, you'll have to make up an excuse to get out."

Quailheart nodded, saying, "Okay. I can definitely do that. Are we going to tell Lightstar? She's my leader, so I think she has the right to know..."

Mistyleaf thought about it for a second. She would have told Mossystar before anything, if it were her choice, but she wondered how much Quailheart could trust Lightstar. She felt bad about doubting a leader, a cat she respected, but she knew that as another Clan's deputy she had to make decisions based on facts and not friendship. "Not yet. We need to figure out who we can definitely trust with this." Quailheart looked a bit hurt that Mistyleaf didn't trust Lightstar, but didn't speak. Mistyleaf tried to explain a bit nicer. "It's not that I don't trust her, but...I just want to wait a bit. But thank you both for coming to me and telling me this, it's very brave to be in your position and still be okay."

Suddenly, a cat's pained cry could be heard. "That's Lightstar!" Quailheart exclaimed.

The three cats instantly ran to where they heard the scream, and were shocked by what they saw.

IM SO SORRY

AND SOFTBALL STARTED SO IM EXTRA BUSY

once exam are over I have the whole summer to write though :D

Also, so something really cliche happened to me today and I wanna write about it...

So there's this boy that I may possibly like (I honestly don't know if I like him or not) and today I found out he might be dating one of my friends and I feel like I shouldn't care because the only time I've ever spoken to him is when I corrected him during a group project. I get so nervous around people and I don't even know what to do...I should probably just drop the half crush thing, maybe in 10 years I'll marry Markiplier. I don't know.

I'm so sorry about the chapters though, I'm trying my very best to update for you guys. Thanks :)
