{Special Mention to my CABULOUS friend Jason, aka WriterOfDestinys , who assisted me in inspiration for this one and the upcoming one. Hope you enjoy this! And yes... You're going to want to claw me in the face after this one, too. But I can live with that, because this is the internet and you can't actually hurt me. YAY!}
"It's here and now that demon's blood will spill," Dipper murmured to Mabel and Pacifica, as they huddled together "She may once have used the disguise of Wendy Corduroy, but she is no longer our ally. She is our enemy." This was a lot of dramatic monologue for a twelve year old, but both girls knew Dipper was a bit more mature than he seemed.
"How do you want to fight her?" Pacifica whispered to them, biting her lip. Dipper couldn't help but notice how attractive that was. He had to force himself to push the thought away, because fighting was what really mattered right then and there. Protecting Mabel and Pacifica was his real mission. He searched the girls' faces for evidence of an idea of some sort, anything that looked like a spark towards something. He frowned, realizing Wendy- or whatever her name was- would not stand by for much longer. Or any longer, really. A fireball flew in Mabel's direction and he shoved her out of the way, falling over with her as well, crushing her beneath his weight.
"Ow! Dipper!" She whined as Dipper rolled off of her. He jumped back to his feet, not bothering to help Mabel up. He knew she didn't care and would rather get up on her own. It made her feel... Independent, he guessed. She pushed herself back up to her feet, trying to act like nothing had happened. Pacifica was standing and staring at Wendy, she looked like she was frozen in place or something. Dipper bit his lip and grabbed her wrist, dragging her along with them.
"I don't know how to fight her," Dipper admitted "I don't have my book, and I've never heard of a demon like her before... Should we hide?"
"You can't hide from her."
"What? How do-"
"Dipper, just trust me. Standing our ground and fighting is the only thing we can do."
"Okay... I-I trust you."Wendy gave a sinister sort of smile, and snorted a bit. "How cute," she laughed, putting her hands on her hips "He trusts her. Funny, they told you to trust nobody in this town. Then again, you trusted me. You're nothing but a pitiful, childish fool!" This made Dipper's blood start to boil. He was a lot of things, but he was not a childish fool. Any feelings he had for Wendy withered away, and all he wanted to do was win. He wanted to beat her. He glanced over at Mabel and Pacifica, who looked terrified.
"Who are you, anyways?" He asked her, folding his arms "Wendus Doofus, or something? Is that your species name?"
Mabel shot him a warning look, to let him know that taunting the demon would only make matters worse."Enough talking!" The Wendy-creature screeched, gritting her sharp teeth "You will pay for what you said." Out of the blue, the room started to fill with a sort of hazy mist which made it difficult to see anything. It hurt Dipper's chest to breathe it in. He could hear Mabel and Pacifica coughing, and he started to follow the sounds of their strained coughs to get to them. The more he breathed it in, the harder it became to breathe at all. He was praying that it was not the same way for Pacifica and Mabel, it would not be beneficial to anybody or their situation if it affected them just the same.
"Mabel!" It hurt to scream out the names "Pacifica!" No responses. He tried to wave away the thick mist, but it wasn't working. He couldn't even see the ceiling of the main hall in Northwest Manor anymore. Could the girls even hear him? Where were they? Had Wendy hurt them?
His worried thoughts were interrupted by Pacifica screaming. He tried to wave away the mist more, but it wasn't working. "Mabel!" He screamed at the top of his lungs, still breathing in the mist. It was starting to feel like the inside of his chest was being ripped apart, but he needed to yell and to breathe. "Pacifica!" Finally, he got a response from someone, but it wasn't one of the girls.
"You are alone, Dipper." The mist faded. He was no longer in Northwest Manor, or anywhere, really. It was all just dark. He couldn't figure out where he was.
"Am I dead, or something?"
"No. I brought you here for a moment to tell you something..."
"What?"
"Do not trust Stanford. Please, don't trust him. It was my downfall. He's put Wendus Demius up to this, and he's after the three of you. Be careful, whatever you do. Don't let me down. I love you."
"Wait, who are you?!"
"You'll know in due time, my boy."He blinked, and when he did, he was back in Northwest Manor in the heat of action. He gasped as he saw the scene before him- Mabel was trapped in some sort of goopy substance- otherwise she seemed okay. She was mouthing "Help Pacifica!" to him. But where was the young blonde girl he admired?
"Looking for your little girlfriend?" Wendus Demius' voice was rough. She had Pacifica draped over her shoulder. She was perfectly conscious, but had been stunned or paralyzed in some way. She wasn't moving aside from the rise and fall of her chest. This was it, Dipper was not having anymore.
"How dare you hurt Mabel and Pacifica. I will personally reach my hand down your throat, and rip out your heart." He screamed "Let them both go, now!"
"Fiesty one, eh? Tell you what, let's take this up on to the roof. Where you can lose like a real hero. Come on, pretty boy, you've got to save your damsel in distress!"She broke through a window and flew up to the roof with her dark wings. Dipper glanced at Mabel, who screamed at him to follow her. He ran up the stairs, and in to Pacifica's room. He knew she had a balcony, which would make it just a bit easier for him to climb up. He had to save her, before it was too late.
Would it be too late?
