Dipper was doing much better. After a trip to the Gravity Falls hospital, he was a bit better, but still recovering. So Mabel and Pacifica had been working together to nurse him back to health.
Mabel was out with Candy and Grenda, so it was Pacifica's turn to take care of Dipper. Which she didn't mind doing, she loved spending any time with him. He didn't seem to mind it, either. He always smiled when he noticed her being there, if he wasn't sleeping. The two of them had spent a lot of time talking together, since there wasn't much else for Dipper to do other than read. Besides, he liked talking to Pacifica. She was actually a great conversationalist when it came down to it.
"Alright, open up, dummy." She said, holding her hand under the spoon as she tried to bring the spoonful of warm chicken soup to his mouth. He had been resisting eating it, saying that he didn't need her babying him, but he really did. Usually, she managed to force him to eat it anyways. He opened his mouth a bit as Pacifica put the spoon in. He blushed, feeling like her baby instead of the guy she liked. The warm chicken soup tasted really good, apparently it was a recipe that Pacifica's nanny had been making for a long time, so Pacifica took the challenge of making it herself. She had done a really good job.
She pulled the spoon out, smiling a bit when she noticed that he had taken the soup from it.
"Good. Eating will help you regain some energy, Dip. And then you'll be as good as new in no time flat."
He knew she was right, so he didn't deny any other spoonfuls of the soup. It was warm and comforting, just like she seemed to be. He couldn't imagine what things would be like if he still thought he hated her. He probably would have died after and attack from Wendus Demius. But that didn't happen, because she was by his side. He was very thankful for that, and for her.She fed him another spoonful. "You know, Dipper," Pacifica began "You really should be a bit less reckless on your little missions. You were pretty much brainless when you attacked that demon."
"I know... I should have thought more. Usually I'm good at thinking things through. At least, I tend to be better at it than Mabel is."
"Well, Mabel's different. She follows her heart instead of her head. That can be a good and bad thing."
"Jeez, pretty and smart? You're a total package, Paz."Dipper laughed a bit as Pacifica blushed. "Shut up," she mumbled cutely, shoving another spoonful of soup in to his mouth. He tried not to laugh anymore, or else he would probably choke, and that was the last thing they needed. They talked and she fed him until they were out of soup.
"I should probably get going," Pacifica sighed "Mabel should be back soon, and you need to get your rest."
"Aw, come on. Don't leave."
"I have to. Like I said, you need to sleep. Sleeping is another important part of recovery."
"Are you sure you have to go?"
"Yes, Dipper."
She leaned over and kissed his forehead gently, causing him to blush.
"Now get some sleep. And if you want to, you can call me when you wake up."
He nodded as she shut off the light and walked out of the room.He rolled over and stared at the wall, grinning from ear to ear. It had only been a tiny kiss, and on the forehead no less, but he was willing to take it.
