A/N: Upon publishing "Pacifica's Picnic", I did not realize that the two events here were similar. So, this is a perfectly skippable one-shot. This was my mistake, and I'd take it out entirely if I didn't like the way it was written so much. The two are kinda similar, but they're also different. I hope you aren't angry with me, I promise I'll try to avoid doing that again.

"Wow," Pacifica remarked, her voice soft and gentle, "It's kinda..."
"Wet." Dipper finished, causing both of them to giggle like a couple of schoolgirls. They were standing on the front porch of the Mystery Shack, and Dipper was trying to get his umbrella open.

"Having some difficulty, nerd?" Pacifica teased, punching his arm very lightly. He just snickered a little, and continued to try and open it. She could easily tell that he was trying to be cool about the whole thing, and he wasn't really doing a very good job. It wasn't difficult to tell when he was trying to be cool. Though he was awkward about it, she found it to be cute. He would always get all flustered during the times where he was trying to impress her. She didn't know why he tried so hard, maybe just because he saw her as a fancy and sophisticated Northwest girl. The same way the whole town saw her...

She tried to push the thought away. Dipper was different, wasn't he? He treated her like a regular person instead of the town's princess. That was exactly what she wanted, to feel like everybody else. The more she thought about it, the more she realized that he really just wanted to impress her because that's what a lot of guys want to do.

"Paz," His voice snapped her back in to reality. She whipped her head over to look at him, her eyes filled with confusion. He just snickered a little bit. "I got the umbrella open." He wasn't wrong, the light blue umbrella was open. Although, it didn't look very stable, kind of old, really. She giggled a little bit, as he seemed strangely proud of his work. She nodded a bit.

"Alright, then let's go on our little exploring adventure." She mumbled, flashing him a small and cute grin. He returned it, but she found his to be much cuter than hers could ever be. The two started to walk with the umbrella above their heads, looking at the world they passed by as they walked. Pacifica had to walk slower to keep up the pace with him, but she didn't mind. Whenever it came to him, she really didn't mind doing anything. She'd never been this way with somebody else before.

"Did you know that in Japan, two people sharing an umbrella usually means that they're in love?" Dipper informed her. As soon as he realized what he'd just thoughtlessly spouted out, he started blushing uncontrollably.
"Gah! I'm sorry, that was too much, it was so sudden, I-"
"It's fine, Dipper. I think that's really cute."
"You do?"
"Yeah. I mean, we're only twelve, so we don't really know love. But we like each other. A lot."
He nodded in agreement. His eyes went down to her free hand, and he bit his lip. Would she object to holding his hand? He really didn't want to make the move without her consent, or even her doing it first, but he feared she'd never think of it if he didn't jump in.

"Dipper?" She giggled softly, "What are you doing?" She flicked her head slightly, trying to get her bangs out of her eyes just a little bit.

"N-nothing!" He exclaimed rather loudly, gripping the umbrella so tightly that his knuckles were turning white. She just giggled again and didn't question it. That was frustrating. Did he have to make that move? Didn't she want to make any moves? Well, since they started doing this whole I-like-you-you-like-me thing, she'd made all of the moves. He wasn't sure he'd be able to work up the courage to just grab her hand, but he was going to try. He was going to try!

One... He counted mentally. Once he reached three, he'd grab her free hand. Two... Way too close to three already.
Three! Boldly, he snatched up her free hand, to her surprise. He was worried she wouldn't like it, but she seemed delighted that he had made a move.

"You know," She began, "I've always liked the way the world looks when there's rain or everything's damp. Things feel kind of pure and clean, don't they?"
"Yeah..." He smiled, "They do."
"I wish people were like that."
"They can be,"
"What do you mean?"
"I can't tell you, Pacifica. But I can show you."

She rolled her eyes and squeezed his hand just a tiny bit. There was clearly curiosity in her blue eyes, though she was trying desperately to hide it.
"Okay then, Mystery Man. Show me."
Instantly, he let go of the umbrella. Pacifica didn't have even a nanosecond to be confused as the umbrella fell softly against the ground. Dipper grabbed her other hand, and started swinging her around.

"What are you doing?!" She shrieked in a half happy, half confused fashion, "We're getting soaked!"
He just smiled and laughed at her.
"That's the point!" He replied, "We're going to be pure and clean thanks to the rain!"
"You're crazy Dipper!"
"Yeah, but I'm your kind of crazy!"
The two of them continued to swing each other around and dance. Whether they were doing the tango or Pacifica was teaching him how to ballet dance, they were having fun. And that was all that really mattered to them.

Towards the end of their dancing, their eyes were locked together. Dipper's hands were on Pacifica's waist, and they were slow dancing. Not the awkward way, either. Dipper was doing that originally, but Pacifica had pulled him in closer so he didn't have to be so nervous. As soon as she did that, she had felt his muscles relax. Now it was just the two of them, slow dancing in the rain.
"Whoa, Pacifica... Your hair..."
"What?"
"This is the first time I've seen it... You know, not all fluffed up. I mean, aside from the time at the diner."
"Oh. Does it look bad?"
"No, no! I like it... I actually like it a lot. It's really pretty, especially when you add the raindrops. The raindrops look so beautiful in your hair."
Dipper could add making a Northwest blush to his list of things he was proud of himself for doing.

Pacifica pressed her forehead to his, and smiled.
"I like you a lot, Dipper..."
"I like you a lot too, Pacifica."
