(Quick A/N: Since I had no general publishing schedule, and I thought I should have at least somewhat of one. So, every 100 reads per one-shot, I'll publish a new one, unless it's unfinished. That is all, happy reading!)

A few days later, Dipper was feeling a lot better. He was able to get up and do stuff, but Mabel and Pacifica had taken upon themselves to keep him from going on supernatural hunts until he didn't have to wear a bloody bandage. From time to time, his wound would randomly start bleeding again. But upon researching it in the journal, he found out for a wound from a demon it was perfectly normal, and that it would take about a week or two to get through it's on and off bleeding phase. So until then, he wasn't able to go on monster hunts. Period.

Still, he did get to have some fun, as Pacifica would come over quite often to hang out with him. They had done all sorts of things, even if they were just small things like watching lame horror movies like he and Wendy used to, or going out in to the forest on a walk. Dipper found himself to be missing Wendy quite a bit, but he wouldn't admit that to Pacifica. Besides, every time he thought of her and who she really had been and what she'd done to him and Pacifica, he didn't feel so bad after all. It was still annoying when Mabel brought her up, though.

Everything seemed to be working out okay for that time. It felt nice when everything was calm, everything was at peace. Now he could fully enjoy the company of his new "lady friend" as Soos called her.

Around 12:00 in the afternoon, Dipper's cell phone started ringing. He went to pick it up, biting his lip a bit. He was sure he knew who it would be, but he was still nervous.
"Hello?"
"Dippy!"
Dippy? That was Pacifica's voice, but he never thought he would hear her say 'Dippy'. It sounded like a pet name, though, and he liked that. It meant that they could be something... Well, he knew they were on their way to being something, but it felt like it got them closer.
"Hey, Paz. What's up?"
"Nothing really. I just thought that maybe now that you're fully recovered that you'd maybe want to join me for a picnic in Circle Park?"
She sounded a bit... Nervous. He bit his lip, but it was excitedly this time. For one thing, she had asked him. And for another thing, she sounded pretty nervous.
"Yeah, sounds cool."
"Okay, I'll meet you there in five minutes, 'kay?"
"Alright. See you then."

Click! Dipper ended the phone call. He tried to ignore the silly look Mabel was giving him, as if she just knew what was going on. He tried to ignore her ridiculous facial expressions, because it would just annoy him. He sighed, wishing she had suggested this sooner so he would have had a chance to shower first. Pacifica was the only person he would willingly shower for- other times, it'd take a lot of work to actually get him to deal with personal hygiene. He looked at himself in the mirror, making sure he looked acceptable. He seemed to look okay. The only other thing he could think of was brushing his teeth. He wouldn't admit it out loud, but he'd been trying to find a way to kiss Pacifica for awhile, but he was having some issues doing so. It didn't seem to work every way he thought of it. He wished that he could practice, or something. And not with a pillow that had a picture of Pacifica's face drawn on it. He sighed a bit, going in to the bathroom to brush his teeth quickly. He wondered how Pacifica's lips would feel against his... He had never kissed anybody before.

The girls back in Piedmont had not been fond of Dipper. Not even nerdy girls were interested. They all thought he was crazy and paranoid. Mabel's friends didn't mind him, but they didn't see him as anything more than their friend's twin brother. Which was a shame really, because Dipper had a crush on one of Mabel's friends for the longest time. But hey, he had Pacifica now, he didn't have to think about her.

He finished getting himself ready and bolted out the door. He didn't even bother to tell Grunkle Stan where he was going- by then, the old man would've guessed it anyways.

Pacifica was waiting in Circle Park alone, trying not to be nervous. She had set out a blanket and she had a picnic basket full of things that one of her maids had made. She had wanted to make it all herself, but her parents would become suspicious. So, she asked one of her most trusted maids (who was also a hopeless romantic) to make them food for the picnic. She wanted everything to be perfect. After all, it was the first date she'd organized. The other ones had been organized by Dipper, so she wanted to do it for a change. Besides, Dipper had been confined to a bed for awhile. She wanted him to be able to enjoy himself for a bit. She bit her lip, triple checking that everything was as it should be. Conveniently, Dipper came running around that time. He was grinning big and waving at her. She smiled and waved back.

He stopped right in front of the blanket. "Hey Paz, what's up?" He asked, winking a bit and doing that weird gun-pointy thing that Pacifica always found really adorable. She blushed lightly, giggling.
"Nothing really, Dip. Just thought I would organize something for us to do together. I wanted to do something special since you've been in bed a lot lately."
"Aww, thanks Pacifica. That's really sweet."
He sat down on the blanket across from her, smiling. She smiled back. God, he made her want to melt. His chocolate brown eyes, his cute little pink nose, his soft lips that she wondered about kissing... She pushed that last thought away, not wanting to think about that right then. It was way too soon to kiss him, no matter how much she wanted to.

"Are you hungry?" She questioned, opening up the picnic basket a bit. He nodded a bit, and she started pulling out all of the things her maid had packed. There was a lot of food.
"Do we have to eat all of this?" Dipper asked, laughing a bit. Pacifica shook her head.
"Nah, it's just in case we're extra hungry or attacked by bloodthirsty cow-bears or something."
This made Dipper laugh again, which made her feel good. She hoped that he was thinking of her as pretty and funny. She wanted to be thought of as the total package, even if she didn't feel like it. Her parents had destroyed her self-esteem a long time ago, and Dipper had slowly been rebuilding it without a clue of what he'd done.

"You can go ahead and start eating," She told him "Anything that looks good is yours." He nodded a bit and bit his lip. She felt her face go red. Did he have to do that? It was so cute! She knew he'd notice her face getting red, but she tried to hide it by pretending to look down at the food so her bangs would fall in front of her face. She wore she could sense him grinning at her like an idiot. The idiot that he was. He moved his hand forward and moved her bangs out of the way so he could get a better look at her face. "What are you trying to hide?" He asked her in a soft tone of voice "You're the prettiest girl I've ever seen." This only made Pacifica's blush deepen. Her heart was pounding in her ears. She glanced up at him and smiled. He winked a bit, and she couldn't suppress a giggle.

The two of them talked and ate for awhile. There was even a point where they were trying to see who could catch the most grapes in their mouth. It was all fun and games until Dipper felt a drop of rain.
"It's not-"
Another drop.
"Oh no," Pacifica groaned.
Another drop.
"Okay, let's pack everything up."
The pair started packing as more rain drops fell down, multiplying and coming down harder and faster. It was full-on raining by the time they were packing up.

Pacifica was perfectly ready to leave, but Dipper insisted that they stay out in the rain for a little bit. She wasn't sure why, but he wanted to. Maybe it was a weird lower class thing? He stood across from her, and put his hands on her waist. She realized what he was doing, and got in to position.
"Wait, but how are we going to dance? There's no music."
"The rain is the music."
The pair started to dance around in the rain, moving swiftly and carefully. Pacifica was an excellent dancer, and didn't have the heart to tell Dipper that he needed to worry about where his partner's feet were. Still, dancing with him was fun. Sometimes he'd made her twirl, and so she'd twirl. Sometimes he'd dip her. They'd laugh through out all of the silly dance moves and stare in to each other's eyes for all the romantic ones. A picnic and dancing in the rain... Wow. Pacifica really was feeling like she was the female lead in a romance movie.

Dipper's fingers were in Pacifica's hair when the two of them stopped, staring at each other. They both seemed to have the same thing on their minds. Dipper pressed his forehead to Pacifica's, and the two of them stared at each other's lips for what felt like the longest time. They twisted their heads just the right way, and their lips were just about to touch.

And then Dipper's phone rang.
