"Mommy, Mommy! Aunt Jamie and Megan are here with Eli" said my 5 year old, daughter Emily who was screaming right in front of my face while I was lying on the bed.
"Elliot's here?!?" Dani got up from bed immediately and went to the restroom. Ten seconds later she came back as if she didn't actually do nothing to her messy hair
"I actually went in there to fix the way I looked but I just stood there and splashed water on my face" she shrugged before going directly at Emily and carrying her "Lets go see uncle Eli yeah?! Because Elliot is your favorite!" She said staring at me smirking before exiting. I got up from bed getting ready to go downstairs, but first I had to look presentable so I just put on some sweat pants and a t shirt before actually starting to go downstairs.
"There's the women I've been waiting for!" Jamie came over and hugged me
"Mommy!" My 6 year old son came running after me hugging my leg
"Hi Caleb" I gave him a kiss on his forehead before hugging Jamie
"Auntie Jammies brought me a set of Legos mommy want to see?"
"Yes of course show me" I urged him. He lead me to the living room seeing Megan, Elliot and Dani all talking and playing around with Emily.
"Look mommy, look!" Caleb showed me his box of Legos
"That's great mijo, did you show mom?" He nodded and took out his Legos
"Hey babe" I turned towards Dani only to be struck by an arrow into the head, of course not an actual arrow but a nerf gun. Dani and Emily erupted into little fits of giggles when the little arrow stayed on my forehead
"Haha very funny you guys" I took it off and put it beside me
"It's hilarious" Dani and Emily only high fived each other before laughing a little bit more.
"Children" I muttered
"I'm not a child!" Dani said before shooting me again with the nerf gun again hitting me on my arm
"Look mom, look!" Emily told Dani gesturing towards Caleb, Jamie, and Megan who each had a nerf gun in their hands, since when do we have so many nerf guns?
"Oh?" Dani got up the couch and the next thing I know is that I'm in the middle of the little nerf gun fight. I needed up sitting on the side while I saw all these darts flying everywhere, a couple of the occasionally hitting my leg
"Are you serious right now? Children! I live with children!" I told myself as I saw Dani sticking out her tongue in a crouching position while she was shooting her nerf gun, "Adorable ones" I smiled looking at Dani.
She was such a child, either she was reading a book to Emily and Caleb and being an actual mother or she was playing with Caleb's hot wheel set by herself while Caleb was at school, she claimed she was just interested with the toys but I knew she actually enjoyed playing toys even though she was a 29 year old playing with toys but I didn't care, it was the most adorable and cutest sight. She claims she doesn't have a favorite child but I know her favorite child deep down is Emily, she's bonded with her more overalls and Caleb, well Caleb, he's my favorite lets just say that, but I love both of the equally.
"Im coming!" Danis voice snapped me out of my thoughts seeing a dart head my way "I got you babe!" She appeared out of nowhere next to me and pushed me out of the way making me go against the couch while she was on top of me "Told you I got you" She smiled at me showing me her perfect white teeth before leaning in and kissing me in front of everyone making everyone stop their movements
"Get a room moms" I heard Caleb say, I felt something hit the side of my temple making me break the kiss
"I got you again!" Dani said getting off of me seeing a nerf gun in her hands
