Hello readers :) Let's see... will the game of telephone ever reach Julia's ears? Tell me what you think!

Chapter 37
Julia

This is why I don't like playing games with seven year olds.

I think Isabella's been cheating, we've been playing go fish for hours. Every time I ask her for a card, she says she doesn't have it. Typical.

Joe has been lying on Isabella's bed the whole time. Every once in a while I'll hear him laugh at me because I'm losing to a seven year old girl. Yep, that's hilarious Joe!

"Okay," I said, "you keep laughing, let's see if you can do better."

I put my cards down on the table in front of me and traded places with him.

"I know I will because I'm older and wiser!" That didn't even work for me, so good luck with that Joe.

"Let's make this interesting," I said, "if you lose to her, you buy lunch today, for all of us."

"Okay," he said thinking about it, "and if I win?"

"Hmm. I'll buy lunch for everyone."

"PIZZA!" A chill went down my back at the possessed sound of Isabella's voice.

"Deal," Joe finally said,

He's going to lose.

He turned towards Isabella just in time to see her giving him the stink eye. That's one fierce-looking girl.

Halfway through the game, I was beginning to prove Joe wrong. He was losing, badly. He had one card left and Isabella was staring him down. Now it was Joe's turn.

"Do you have any twos?"

"Go fish!" She smiled at him because she knew his only card. Now it was Isabella's turn.

"Do you have any fours?" Well, she sounds confident.

Joe's face fell as he handed Isabella the card he just drew. "But I just got that card!"

CHEATER!

"Oh well, that's how you play the game!"

I couldn't help but smile at her cuteness. Even though she might be cheating, she's still adorable. Joe on the other hand looked pretty irritated. He's just mad because I told him he would lose, and now he is losing.

"Do you have any twos?" If it's possible, Isabella's smile spread further across her face.

"It's still go fish," she said.

"But I still have to ask!" She spit her tongue out at Joe. He acted out as if it physically hurt him.

Joe picked up another card. He cursed under his breath which only made Isabella gasp. "Oh you've heard it before!" She spit her tongue out again and this time he stuck his tongue out at her back. This only started a tongue war. Back and fourth they spit their tongues out at each other.
