I will just get right to the point. And don't worry, there is nothing bad in this book other than some language. This chapter will be about their last day together. After this, the next update for this book will be the epilogue. This will also be a very long chapter. Enjoy...
Chapter 45
❤Julia❤The movie we saw was rather long and sad.
Not that that is a bad thing. It's based on one of my favorite books The Fault In Our Stars. Joe watched the movie without shedding a single tear. Boys... Me, on the other hand, I cried almost every scene. I felt like a child as Joe tried his best to comfort me. He held my hand and whispered in my ear, occasionally kissing my cheek. He would say things like 'it's okay baby, it's just a movie' or 'babe its not real'. I would reply sobbing, saying 'but it could be' or 'it's not just a movie, obviously people have encountered these situations before'.
After the movie we went to the food court for lunch since the movie theatre was right beside the mall. We decided to get Chinese food. While Joe waited in line for our orders I found a table to sit at. As I was sitting there waiting I felt a light tap on my foot. I looked down to see a little toy car. I picked it up just as a little boy came running over to me. He stopped in his tracks when he saw me holding his toy.
"Hi there," I told the boy smiling kindly at him, "Is this your toy car?"
I held the car up for him to see it better. He nodded bashfully.
My smile grew at the boy. He was utterly adorable. He had chubby cheeks, a cute little nose, and thin pink lips. But what caught me off guard was his intriguing, bright green eyes. They went perfectly with his curly, silk black hair. He was a beautiful, adorable little boy who couldn't be more than four years old.
"Here you go" I said holding the car out for him to take.
He reluctantly reached out to grab it, then a woman came up behind the boy.
"There you are Joshua! I told you not to run off like that!"
She bent down to hug the boy in her delicate arms. The boy hugged her back smiling.
"I was getting my car mommy! The lady found it and gave it back to me."
The lady looked up and sure enough she has the same breath taking green eyes as her son. They looked explicitly alike. They had the same eyes and hair, little nose, and thin pink lips.
The lady smiled broadly at me. "I'm so sorry for the bother, but thank you so much for finding this toy! He dropped it a while ago and couldn't find it. It's his favorite toy. He literally takes it everywhere."
"Oh, you're welcome! It was no big deal, besides he was no bother at all. Your son is adorable by the way!"
"Why thank you. I'm Melanie by the way." She offered her hand and I shook it. "Well it was nice meeting you..."
"Julia" I filled in.
"Well thank you again Julia! I hope you have a great day. Bye now!"
She waved at me turning to leave. I returned her smile and waved back. "It was nice meeting you too! Bye Melanie!" I looked down at the boy who was also waving goodbye to me. "Bye Joshua!" I added waving at him as well.
After they left Joe appeared beside me. "They seem nice, who are they?"
"Melanie and her son Joshua. I found his toy and gave it back to him just when his mother came over. They were nice."
