I think it's time for a happy ending! Well...
Chapter 15
❤Julia❤
I almost lost my balance when I saw Joe.
I hugged him as tight as I could and didn't let go. He kissed every inch of my face and I eased off on crying.
My tears cleared up and we exchanged stories. I told him how I had tried to escape and he told me about Mr.Baily being his dad and the boy behind him was Tony and he was also his step brother. There was so much to think through. It all gave me a head ache. I curled up and Joe held me tight in his arms. I fell asleep, but not for long. Joe woke me up when he started talking to Tony. All of a sudden he got excited.
"Tony! Don't you have your cell phone?"
Tony looked down with a sad expression. "I lost it when we were running." he said.
"We've got find a way out of here." Joe said looking around. The excitement was gone from his face.
"There are none as far as I know. There's no windows in here... Wait! The bathroom. There's a small window in there, just were too big to fit through it." I said the last part felling ashamed a little bit.
"That won't work though. We've got to come up with a plan." Tony said.
We whispered to each other trying to figure something out. It took a while but we actually came up with something. It was hard to come up with though, because he had to find something that wouldn't include use getting shot.
We got ready, waiting for food to come, then our plan would start. Tony stayed by the door, Joe sat by the nightstand, and I sat by Joe.
It took a while but he finally came. He had his gun in his hand, like we figured, and he had also gotten my mother out of the closet. As soon as they walked in we began our plan. We had to distract my parents so Tony could get out and get help. We pretended to be asleep and not wake up. Tony hid behind the door when they walked in. Our plan was staring to work. My patents saw us sleeping and tried to wake us.
"Hey!" my father yelled,"Wake up, it's time to eat."
My mother walked over and shook me lightly."Julia wake up." She went over to Joe and tried to shake him awake. He didn't move either of course. While my father let my mother try to wake us, I heard Tony creep out of the room. Luckily though my parents didn't hear him. Joe and I didn't move until we heard the door slam. That's when we knew Tony made it out. My parents ran out of the room and we cautiously ran to the bedroom door. My parents were in the doorway looking out of the apartment. Joe and I took the time to run silently back to my room. Joe helped me out the window and I turned around and grabbed his hands to help him out. When we were both standing on the stair case on the side of the building we heard my father scream.
"Julia!" he yelled with such rage.
We scrambled down the stairs as fast as we could. We could also still hear my parents yelling after us. We met Tony at the bottom stairs. We heard commotion coming from where we came out. I looked up to see my father coming down the stairs.
"Run!" I yelled to both Tony and Joe.
We ran across the street to find, none other than, the police. The cars were one block away, out of sight. The policeman were hidden behind random cars. When they saw my father to shoot at, they shot at him. He lied there motionless. My mother ran after him. She shook him, hoping he would wake up. Nothing happened. A policeman ran over to her and put her in hand cuffs. That reminded me of the key in my pocket. I took it out and gave it to a nearby policeman. He nodded and walked away.
We were questioned by officers and cared for by medics. Mr.Baily met us at the scene. He drove us home and we went back to our suit. The rest of the night was silent. We went to bed and I cried.
"Shhh." Joe whispered in a soft, tender voice. "It's all over now. There's nothing to be scared of."
I came close to him and he held me in his arms. "I'll always be here. I'll never let you go. As long as I'm here, you'll be safe." He turned the light out and we were left in darkness. I was scared at first because the darkness reminded me of when I was alone, it reminded me of my father and the anger in his eyes. But then I remember Joe. His sweet smile, his sensitive tone. It makes me forget.
I forget all the fear that my father gave me and replace it with the love that Joe has given me. I am thankful for Joe, my new friends, my new life. As I felt my eyelids getting heavy, I let them close. I won't let go of Joe, ever. As long as he's here, I'm here with him. I let all of my unhappy thoughts go, and I fell into a deep sleep.
Just wait for it...
