Hello readers, tell me what you think of my book so far!

Chapter 5
I sat up and wiped the sleep from my eyes.

My head was on Joe's jacket. He had left it here for me. Joe, I guess, was gone somewhere. I knew he would come back though. I thought about last night while waiting on him to come back. He had a rough night. His father and his dog both had died, we still had nowhere to stay except this alley, and we're limited on money. It was still a lot to take in. I got bored so I took my book out of my bag. It wasn't a reading book, I was writing one. It's about my life and what I'm going through, and now Joe is a character in my book too. I haven't found a good title for it yet though. I was so lost in my book that I didn't hear Joe come back. He tapped me on my shoulder and startled me.

"Hey," he said with a slight smile. I could still tell he was really upset from last night.

"Hey," I managed to say back. "How are you holding up?" I asked him.

"I'm managing," he said through a miserable sigh, "I bought breakfast."

"Great, I'm starving," I said meaning it quite literally.

We talked while we ate. Nothing much, just getting to know each other. He told me he likes to cook and read (sometimes). I told him I like to read and write. He told me he would read my book when I'm finished writing it. I told him I would try the food he cooks some day.

"Are you much of a morning person?" he asked me.

"Not really," I told him.

"I think you look beautiful in the morning light," he told me. I felt my face heat up.

"Thanks," I said still blushing and feeling like a littler kid. No one has ever flirted with me before. I don't know how to flirt. "Thanks" is the only thing I could come up with.

He came over to sit by me. He sat down leaving no space between us. He grabbed my hand. I tried to shake the feeling he was two years older than me. If you think about it, it's only two years though. That's not bad. I decided to just go with it, also because I liked it.

"Your welcome," he said at last.

We finished eating and went for a walk. We went searching for hotels we might be able to stay at. No luck. After about an hour went by, we found a finer hotel. We went inside and asked the manager to see the owner. We talked to him and he was very kind to us. He told us we could stay in an average size room for one hundred dollars a week as long as we agree to work here for him. We would get paid minimum wage. He showed us our room on the third floor.

"Thank you soo much Mr.Baily." Joe told our new boss.

"Take the day and get used to your room and working surroundings. I want you to be in the lobby tomorrow by six o'clock, no later."

"Yes sir," I told him.

"This is all happening so fast. I can't keep up," he said talking about the hotel ordeal.

We entered our room.

"Wow, this it's the most amazing place I've ever seen," I told Joe.

"Agreed," he said.

"What do you want to do first in our new place?" I asked him.

"I don't know," he said waking over to the television. He grabbed a remote and pressed a button on it. At first I thought it actually went to the TV. It was too the stereo. The song he chose sounded familiar. I don't listen to much music but I knew this song.
