Hello again! If your reading this then I guess you liked chapter one, so thanks!

Chapter 2
"Is this your dog?" I asked.

"Yeah," he replied.

"He is soo cute." I told him as I petted the dog.

"Thanks, I used to get lonely at home so my parents bought me a dog, when they still cared, that is. His name is Shadow. He's three years old. He's my best friend," he explained to me.

"I've never had a dog before. Actually, I've never had a real friend before." I said as my smile faded. As I said it, his smile faded too.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to...I'm sorry." I apologized.

"It's okay, shadow here is pretty much my only friend. At home anyways. You can be my friend. I mean, only if you want!"

"Thanks," I said, a smile creeping into my face. "That nice."

"What do we do now?" Joe asked after a few moments of silence.

"Well we can't stay out here forever," I answered him. It was true, if we're not going back to our own homes, we need to find somewhere to stay rather than an alley. Did I just say we?

"How much money do you have?" he asked me all of a sudden.

"I don't remember, maybe like $1,000. Why?" I answered another one of his questions. Is he going to rob me? Oh no!

"We could stay in a hotel. Okay, let's see, I have $2,563-"he started to say before I cut him off.

"Where did you get that much money? " I interrupted him.

"My parents secret money spot, and where did you get yours?" he had a point, he got me with my own question.

"Same," I said, "secret Money spot."

"Okay let's see," he continued, "you have $1,000, so together we have $3,563."

As he explained this I was wondering how we were going to stay at a hotel. They are not cheap and we have to buy food along with other stuff we might need. Not to mention I just met this guy a few days ago and I'm not sure about staying in the same room as him.

He was right though. We couldn't just stay here forever. We had to think of something.
I explained this to him and so we started thinking of something else we could do.

As we were thinking, it started to rain.

"Oh my gosh, it's raining, what do we do? " I asked Joe.

"I don't know, I guess we just stay here and let the rain pour down on us." he said through a long yawn. "I'm tired."

"Me too." I saw him yawn and it made me yawn also.

We found a tarp in the dumpster and some rope, so we used them to make a cover over our heads and to put on the ground so we don't get wet. It was getting dark outside so I got my flash light out and turned it on. As we fell asleep, we used Shadow as a pillow. He didn't seem to mind. Joe and I laid bedside each other, him turned one way, me the other, and we feel asleep pretty fast even though we did nothing today.

When we woke up, we had no pillow and a dog was licking my face. My obvious guess was Shadow.

"Ugh! Shadow, gross! Stop!" I yelled.

"Huh? What?" Joe said a little confused considering he was just woken up by my yelling.

"shadow's licking my face," I said laughing at the dog.

"Shadow stop," he said to his dog and he stopped. "Sorry about that."

"That's okay."

"Hey, do you and Shadow want to go for a walk." he asked me.

There was a short pause before I answered. I guess a walk couldn't hurt after being in an ally after a while.

"Umm, sure," I said finally. What am I doing? I just meet this guy and now I'm going on a walk with him! Not only that but we were talking about finding somewhere to stay! TOGETHER!

As we were walking and talking, we passed a TV shop. I kept walking, but Joe stopped. The TV was showing someone who died in a car accident.

"Did you know that man?" I asked him.

"Yeah," he answered "That's my dad."
