"Santi?"

"I didn't contact him so I don't freakin' know why he's here!" Nagpapanic kong tuon kay Bea dahil halata sa itsura niyang naguguluhan din siya sa nangyayari.

"You deal with him," I pointed to the guy in front of us. "And then I deal with him." I turned my head referring to Santi, who is now standing cooly while his hands are crossed.

"Uh, actually, I came for you." The guy gallantly said.

My mouth formed an 'o'.

"Well then... yeah, I'll deal with him first then I'll get back to you. Will that be fine? It's gonna be super fast lang promise!"

Tinanong ko siya pero 'di ko naman hinintay ang sagot niya dahil dahan-dahan na rin akong naglakad patungo kay Santi kaya wala na rin siyang nagawa kung hindi ang sumang-ayon. Bea entertained him for me while I check in on this guy right here.

"Anong ginagawa mo dito wala ka na bang ginagawa para sa course mo?"

Hinapit niya ang braso ko nang tuluyan akong makalapit. Nagtagal ang tingin niya sa kausap ni Bea bago niya itinuon ang atensyon sa akin.

"Who's he?" Walang bahid ng emosyon sa boses niya.

"I-I haven't formally met him yet so I don't know. But that's not the point, I asked you first, bakit ka nandito? Busy ka ah," sipat ko.

"Uh, I just dropped by to ask you out." He said, not sounding like he's asking for it.

"Uh yeah, you see, I think that guy's gonna talk with me about something important so I guess, next time?" I didn't want to turn him down but from the looks of that guy, I'm guessing that he actually needs a word from me.

"I'll wait."

My forehead creased.

"No," I pushed him a bit. "You will now go home and rest. I'll contact you na lang after."

"But I already rested. I can wait until you're done with your stuff."

"My stuff is going to take too long to finish. So you can go home now. We'll go out next time," I said with finally.

Though he didn't respond after. Matagal pa kaming nagkatitigan ngunit sa huling ay ako rin ang bumigay.

"Fine!" I exclaimed.

He just shrugged as if it's a sign of his control over my decision. Yabang!

Naglakad na ako pabalik sa puwesto namin kanina.

"He won't leave." Sinabi ko na agad kay Bea because she has this confused look on her face.

"Ah selos." She whispered at inalog ang balikat ko.

I made a face at her.

"By the way, Celina, si Alonzo nga pala." Pakilala niya sa lalaki.

"Magkakilala kayo?" I asked surprised because I never thought they knew each other.

"Arki s'ya, we meet sometimes for collaboration." I nodded.

Naglahad ako ng kamay sa kanya na siya niya namang agad na tinanggap. Medyo natagalan pa nga ang pagkakahawak niya ro'n.

Ipinakilala ko na rin si Santi dahil ang awkward naman kung hindi ko ia-acknowledge ang presence nya.

"And this is Santi, a friend. Magkakilala na sila ni Bea so yeah, Alonzo si Santi."

"Alonzo, pare."

Siniko ko si Santi dahil mariin lang siyang nakatitig sa mga mata ni Alonzo habang nakalahad na ng kamay 'yong tao.
