Raising suspicion 1

Hinata Shoyo's day was not going well so far. His head had been hurting since he woke up and he was unable to focus, making his vision terrible and confusing, leaving him on the ground more than once as he tried to navigate forward. A problem with his special sight was the fact that he couldn't see properly when he had a headache. His 'vision' would get distorted and unclear, a complete mess was putting it lightly.

It was always bad when his senses were overrun, but this was worse than the usual headache, rendering him unable to do things well. 'How am I supposed to get to school?' he thought for a moment as he tried opening his door, taking a hesitant step outside as he began moving to where he knew the stairs were, calling out to his mother. "Mom? I have a bit of a problem" he said, his voice filled with insecurity.

"What is it hun?" his mother asked as she went out of the kitchen, seeing her son halfway down the stairs, his face pale as he held onto the railing tightly, clenching it for dear life. "Shoyo?!" she shouted, worried for her son as she ran up to him and grabbed his shoulder, steadying him. "Thanks mom," he said with a meek smile, as he leaned against his mother. "Could you drive me today?" he then asked, surprising his worried mother.

"What? You can't be serious Sho, I can't drive you to school like this" she said, her voice filled to the brim with worry. "Don't worry mom, Kei is there after all," Shoyo said, his smile a little wider as he reassured his mother. "I understand, but if you get even a little worse, you're contacting me right away okay?" his mother said with a firm tone, not giving room for any argument. "I promise," Shoyo responded, happy his mother agreed to take him to school.

You see, today they were going to have a practice match with Nekoma, and he wished to 'see' his friend Kenma again, who happens to attend Nekoma. (A/n: Shoyo and Kenma are childhood friends, hence Kenma is aware of the fact that Hinata has no eyes. He has helped him keep his secret as well as learnt how to help clean the prosthetic eyes for Shoyo in case he ever needs help.)

"You're not allowed to participate today, only watch alright?" his mother then said, making him pout sulkily, but he didn't argue, knowing his mother is right. "Yes mother..." he responded quietly, sighing a little before he smiled goofily. "Let's go!" he then exclaimed happily, wanting to meet Kenma as soon as possible.

"Okay, let's go" his mother said, a smile of her own gracing her lips as she led Shoyo down the rest of the stairs and walked him into the kitchen. "First of all, let's have you eat something and take some headache medicine, to lower your headache a little." she said as she looked through the medicine cabinet, taking out two meds and then filling up a glass with water, handing it to her son. "Here you go Sho, take this" she said with a kind smile before she walked up to the fridge, taking out some different fruits, shopping them up into pieces and putting it all into three bowls, placing one of them in the fridge, further down so her daughter could reach it.

"Do I need to help you eat Sho?" his mother asked, half joking-half serious, knowing her son might actually need it right now. Shoyo only nodded slowly, knowing he wouldn't be able to do it himself, his mother just giggling as she sat down next to her son, helping him eat the bowl of fruit before having him finish the rest of his water, making sure he'd drink a good amount in case that the headache was due to drinking too little water.

Once all that was done she went upstairs and woke her daughter up before coming back downstairs, taking hold of Shoyo and leading him to the hall where she helped him put on his shoes before they went outside, his mother carrying his bag for him. "Thanks mom," Shoyo said with a kind smile as his mother chuckled, "don't worry about it, sweetie, I'm always here to help you if you need me to."
