The cat's out of the bag 3

Halfway through their walk, Shoyo and Kei decided to stop by the convenience store, meaning to buy something to drink and eat at a nearby park. Or well, that had been their intention...

As soon as the two entered the store hand in hand Shoyo recognized a certain silhouette right off the bat, "eh Kenma?" he voiced quietly as he leaned his head to the side. Kei heard him and soon saw the team standing by the snacks section. The team had yet to notice them, but once they did he knew they would be bombarded with questions.

Kei sighed as he looked at them, earning a quiet giggle from his boyfriend. "You good Kei?" he then asked before he looked at him with a small, warm, smile. "Yeah, I am," was all he had time to say before a certain rooster haired teen took notice of them. "Oh! Chibi-chan and Glasses!" he then exclaimed in an obnoxiously loud voice, which in turn had Kei sighing loudly.

Shoyo giggled, realizing right away that Kei did that on purpose. As Kei heard his giggle he smiled a little before he turned back to the Nekoma team with a look that just screamed "why did we have to run into the rooster head and his flock of cockerels?" he then sighed again, even louder this time, ticking off Kuroo a bit.

Kuroo, who Shoyo realized would probably start a stupid argument in the middle of the convenience store, was thankfully cut off by a smack to the head, which was delivered by Morisuki Yaku. "Don't you start something Kuroo" he said in a low voice, giving him a glare before he turned his head to Shoyo and Kei. "You too, Tsukishima."

Shoyo only giggled again, finding the situation rather funny. The situation that could have ended in a stupid argument was resolved before it could begin, and was quickly left in the past as they heard Shoyo's quiet giggle. Kei smiled a little before he said "let's go" and tugged Shoyo with him. "Mm" was all he got in response as Shoyo quietly followed along, shutting his eyes.

Some from Nekoma looked on with confusion, "hey chibi-chan? Why are you closing your eyes when you walk?" Kuroo asked after a moment, the two teens stopping in their tracks, Shoyo opening his eyes and averting his gaze, "I-uhm, it's.. No reason.." he ended up stuttering as he wasn't expecting the question.

Kuroo looked on unimpressed, 'such a bad liar' he thought for a moment before he felt a death glare directed at him from his side, making him turn his head a little to see from who. Once he finished turning his head he made direct eye contact with Kenma, who looked like he would rip his head off if he said another word.

Kuroo gulped before he brought his hands up in front of him defensively, "sorry, I won't ask again, please stop looking at me like that, it's seriously scary" he told his friend quickly, his hands still glued in front of him, almost as if he was getting prepared for a fight. 'Why is he so scary!?' Kuroo thought as he looked at his normally calm friend who was now glaring daggers at him.

Shoyo, hearing what Kuroo was saying whistled as he 'looked' at the team, wanting to 'see' what was happening. Seeing the stance of Kuroo's silhouette he could get a fairly good idea of what, exactly, was happening. He felt a squeeze on his hand before he turned to look up, giving his boyfriend a reassuring smile before he turned towards the team, closing his eyes.

He took a deep breath and then breathed out in a half-sigh before he opened his eyes once more. "Let's finish what we all came here to do, after that I can explain" Shoyo said, shaking a little, although only two people noticed it. He was nervous, not sure whether this was the right decision or not. 'Should I really tell them?' he repeatedly thought as he squeezed his boyfriend's hand to try and keep from panicking.

Kei, realizing he needed to take his mind off the situation for a while, pulled him along, walking through the convenience store aisles and picking out whatever things they wanted to buy before going to the counter. They placed their things and waited for the clerk to ring it up, paying soon after before walking out of the store, telling the team that they would be waiting outside.
