some definitions

intern- a learning doctor

O.R.- where they do surgeries

scrub caps or clothes/ scrubs - clothes you wear in an O.R. so you can be safe.

chart- all medical information about the patient. or just about the patient or why they're here written in a chart.

"welcome back to the hospital, its been two weeks since the shooting , two weeks to get your lives together , two weeks to self teach and learn the lessons we went over before the shooting. "today i'm going to give you a quick lesson" dr mills said to every single intern from different schools and all.

"how to deliver news that the patient love one is dying" she paused as she wrote on the board. "listen fast because we are on a clock people" she said and put the cap back on the marker. "WHEN you deliver the bad news to the patient you need to be in the right #1 location. which is rightfully important because they would need to be somewhere quiet like if they are in a crowd pull them aside" she said.

"#2 is what and how you say it first you start off by "we did everything we could i'm sorry for your loss" thats the first thing you say then you explain what you did and how the patient has died. make sure you do not hesitate to use the word died or any 'hard words' because you're a surgeon you should be confident" she continued to write on the board.

"#3 body language IF the patient is hurt you may .. comfort them by giving them a hug appropriately because that person has lost their love one and they are going to remember how the patient died and mainly you and they are going to play the scene over and over again in their head. haunting included." she lastly said. "questions?" she asked.

and most of the interns raised their hands. "no? okay i don't see any hands here" she said sarcastically and walked out. "Ortez , O'Connell , Brown , Willams , wills , and Robbins come with me" she said loudly and we followed her. thank god i got pulled out of that the whole time Judy and Natalie was arguing about their future.

"and mousey , you're with me today. i heard you were an badass so we'll see" dr mills said. "it's Judy" Judy rolled her eyes. "it's i don't care , study this patient chart in the next 30 seconds and read it when we walk in" she said and handed Judy her chart.

she gave it a glance and head nodded. wow fast reading "okay mousey what do we have" dr mills said. " Jordan dash , 13 year old male with a failing liver and have a match and is getting a new liver today" Judy read.

"great , hmm" she scanned all of our faces. "what are you-" Judy said. "trying to see who's scrubbing in and who's not"she said. "okay , Ortez and Williams you're scrubbing in" she said and left.

"okay Judy and robins you do my post up and pre op. billie and wills you're in the pit go !" she said. "i'm always at the pit" Jeremy complained. "are you complaining? would you like to go to the free clinic down stairs?" she suggested. "no no ma'am" he said. "then i suggest you get going , and billie you're upgraded to trauma tell dr dean i put you on his service today" she threw it in his face.

billie clapped and ran her little feet down to the ER. "okay you two put on your scrubs" she said "dr dean told me to swap since billie is on your service" Natalie came up and join to put on our scrubs with us . "dr mills how long do you scrub before surgery" Natalie asked in meaning of 'wash your hands'. "excuse me?" mills asked.

"well i wash for two minutes and four seconds because i sing Clairo- flaming hot Cheetos because i remember the song by heart." Natalie said. "i scrub for 3:50 seconds before EACH surgery, sounds like you need a new song dr Ortez" she said and got up snd went into the O.R. to scrub.
