"—-what about if we-" Dr.Lewis cut off billie. "that's not gonna work" he shot down her idea immediately. "were out of options" he breathed out looking at an open brain on the table. we're in surgery and we've ran out of ideas how to stop seizures this 18 year old girl is having.
"hemispheretomy" i said out loud and looked at them. "brilliant" billie complimented as Dr.lewis knew exactly the risks. "no it's too risky and it's never been done before" he shot down. "but it could be" i smiled. "it's a great idea , if we don't take the risk we have nothing" billie defended me.
"it's genius , it may take what? up to 12 hours" i looked at the O.R. clock. "were are not removing this young girl's brain we can find another procedure" he backed down. " it's only half " billie said. "we'll have to see can she function without half of her brain. we'll start again once we know" he said closing.

JORDAN POV
i hurried up and slid in the elevator before the doors shut. "—- i told you Dr. Mayfield the baby has a 0.5% chance , down syndrome has been survived before , whoever baby this is deserves to know now before something bad happens " i overheard the head of fetal speaking with Dr.Mayfield.
"aww look how it's little arms are crossed" he said before getting off at his stop as my eyebrow raised. she turned and looked at me nervously "Dr.Yale" she breathed out. "is that my baby" i asked.
she looked down at her feet "i only wanted confirmation before i officially told you two and i made a mistake and mentioned it to Lily not knowing what it really meant and turns out i was right and now she's sitting on the bench outside crying—-" she rambled before i left to head outside to find Lily.
"Lily" i called her name as soon as i saw her. "why" she sighed in frustration. "why do this happen to such- why does god let that happen i don't understand it" she said wiping the corner of her eye.
"you can do everything right and it doesn't even.." she stammered. "why?" she brought herself back to that question. "i don't know" i answered sighing. "i- i don't want you to hold me cause if you hold me then i'll start to cry and i don't wanna start crying" she said as were not standing 4 feet away from each other.
"cause if i start crying .. i'll never stop i'll never be able to stop" she said truly. "okay" i respected her decision. "okay" she breathed out. "whatever you need.. i'm here" i told her. "did i tell you that it's a boy" she began to sob uncontrollably. "w-were having a boy" she sobbed and went up to me as i pulled her into my embrace.
OWEN POV
"that's my pager sorry , see you around" Georgia ran off after checking her beeping pager. i'm now at the nurses station finishing post-op when a familiar someone walked up to me. "isn't interns supposed to finish post op" Spring said.
"yeah it's .. my day didn't go by as quick today" i said. "yeah" she said and stood there awkwardly. "are you coming home tonight?" she asked since i've been sleeping over billie's and Georgia's this past week or coming home late because of our arguments.
"yeah" i nodded. "okay well i gotta go check on a patient" she told me and left. this week has really been a blur , this relationship isn't going anywhere and i really want it to. she worrying about a lot when she shouldn't be.
"hey dude" Jordan said to me. "hey" i waved. "wait Ian?" Jordan asked by another guy that was passing by oh Ian? i haven't seen him around. "in the flush , i took a three month break while grieving my mothers lost but i'm back" he told Jordan as they went up to each other and hugged.
