this is mainly about Owen & Georgia situation if you want to skip you may.

Owen inhale sharply trying to fix his tie."Owen we should ..get going" i told him popping in the room. "that's the wrong tie" i fount him a better one. his trial is today and we don't wanna be late assuming we have charges on our hands.

"well it's not gonna really matter what tie i'm wearing when , uh.." he trailed off but i changed the subject. "did i tell you i have a thymectomy today? .. in surgery. the patient has myasthenia without thymoma , so i'm thinking i could get away with partial sternotomy" i said changing the subject.

"so we're avoiding what's actually gonna happen today" he caught on. "we're discussing medicine" i told him. "were doing our rounds. surgery and work that's what's gonna get us through today." i said fixing his tie.

"so , they're just charging you today" i said once we arrived at court. " it'll probably be a misdemeanor with probation" i told him. "i know geo" he said walking to the court room. we finally arrived in the court room waiting for the session to began.

"is the state ready to charge?" the judge asked them 10 minutes after he landed on his case. "we are your honor were seeking felony assault in the second degree" Ian's lawyer said. i saw Spring come in quietly.

"felony? this must be a mistake" Owen's lawyer said. " this must be a mistake" she said. "it's not your honor" Ian's lawyer said. "what the hell i thought—" Owen's lawyer cut him off speaking again. "the state is pulling this at the last minute" she defended.

"it's called prosecutorial discretion" Ian's lawyer said rolling his eyes unamused. "it's overreaching" she continued to defend. "it's not your honor" Ian's lawyer said. "this is a misdemeanor case" Owen's lawyer said. "tell that to the victim seated here in this court room" Ian's lawyer said.

"a fifth year surgical resident who almost lost his career when the defendant his professional colleague , his co-worker unable to mask his rage" Ian's lawyer said while Ian sat there with a beaten face and Owen finally noticed Spring was here as his eyebrows lit up.

"this act was a felony the state and Dr. Ian Smalls want the approval justice here" Ian's lawyer said. "you want to argue this now? fine" Owens lawyer took over. "the charge is felony assault in the second degree" the judge decided. "how do you plead , Dr Owen brown?" the judge asked.

"not guilty" he answered. 30 minutes after the court trial was over we went out for ice cream. "it's just a charge" i said to him before eating my ice cream. "yeah a felony charge" he said ashamed. "but you haven't been convicted of anything" i told him.

"i'm just some trash dude every male in my family ended just like this" he said. "you're not trash you're a surgeon and you are not going to prison" i told him. "you don't know that" he said. "you are not going to prison" i reassured him and placed my hand on top of his.

OWEN POV

i went to go see Spring , because an apology is owed. "hey" i said once she walked outside. "hey" she said. "how are you?" i asked. "i don't know how to answer that" she said. "i was actually going to sleep so.." she trailed off.

"i want to be home with you and i messed that up and i know that , and i'm sorry" i told her. "you can't just say that" she said. "i mean it , and i'm gonna keep saying it" i said to her.

"it doesn't fix anything, sorry doesn't fix—-" i cut her off. "well what do you want me to say?" i asked as a rhetorical question. "you lash out , you hurt people and then you think you can just walk it back with i'm sorry" she said.
