Chapter 4-Just A Baby

I haven't seen Nathan for a very long time.Last time I did see him was when he was getting married for the first time.

A year after the wedding,they got divorced.I already knew she wasn't that girl for my brother.I knew she wasn't worthy of Nathan.

Only if Nathan saw it before like I did.Now he is getting married again.And it is most likely not that girl for him.Again!I swear,he never learns!

He doesn't belong to the navy!He belongs with the water.Being a part of the navy and sailing around is not what he should be doing!He belongs to the water in our parents' ship!

Soldiers got the ship to settle down in a hidden shore,just like the last time I came here.Appearently,pirated scare people.Or was it just me?I don't know.I forgot.

"Nathan.""Nox."With a big smile,he hugged me.I didn't hug him back but used this opportunity to whisper into his ear."Calder 'Cutthroat' Gawain killed mom and dad."I sighed.

"They don't know I'm their daughter.If he learns we are their children,that is it.For both of us,Nathan.He can't know."

He backed away with a shocked expression."What?!"I rolled my eyes."Pull yourself togather,he's coming."And I was right.He showed up right after.

"Is this the named Nathan?"I nodded."Nathan,the bastard who killed Naida and Nen."Nathan being an emotional mess,his tears piled up in his eyes.

He kept his cold expression as a few tear ran down his face."Awe...He's going to cry?!"Calder started laughing.Crew joined him with no hesitation.

Nathan's anger took over and he pulled out his sword."You are just a land boy!You don't have the guts to do it!Your little uniform wouldn't let you anyways!"They kept laughing.

"KNOCK IT OFF!"

The crew stopped laughing but Calder's cocky smirk did not leave his face.I wanted to slap it out of him.That stupid face!ARGH!

"Get them out of my sight."When soldiers went towards the crew,I whistled to stop them."Touch any one of them and I'll kill you."I turned to Calder.

"Leave before a situation happens.No one wants the navy to be wiped out."He sent them all away but he stayed.I rolled my eyes."Just ignore him."

"I actually have a surprise.You won't believe who I found."He whistled and Adrian walked through the other soldiers.

"No way!How?!"He smirked."Does it matter,Nox?"I shook my head."No,it doesn't."I pulled him by his little navy soldier uniform's collar.His arms went around my waist as I kissed him.

Nathan pulled him off of me."You sure missed me,Adrian.""You didn't?"I shook my head."Why would I miss you?"Adrian turned to Nathan."Fine!You won!"

Adrian gave him 5 coins."I told you.She didn't miss me,how could she possibly miss you?!"Adrian was annoyed while Nathan was glad to get paid.

I turned to Adrian."Where is the tavern?Let's go have a drink."Nathan jumped in."Nox,no.""Nox,yes."He scoffed."Nox,seriously,no!"

Than Willow tapped on my shoulder."Can you not go?I'm tired."I nodded."Alright."I turned to Calder.

"We'll be back in a day or two.And try not to worry too much about me.You can always a find a new useless whore to fill my place."

"He can never fill in the hole I will leave id something were to happen to me.Knowing that very fact brought me joy.I'm irreplacable!

Nathan walked us to his house as Willow was tired and it was actually really late."Tomorrow morning,you,I and Willow are having breakfast with my in laws."

I shrugged."And?""Appropriate clothes are in the closet.Willow,you can follow the maid towards your room."I chuckled."Yeah uhm...No.I'm not leaving Willow."

Nathan led us to the room he got ready for me.The maid brought the stuff Nathan got for Willow inside my room."I cannot believe you left for all of this.Are you even happy here?"

"I make my decisions for me,Nox.Just like you make yours for you.I'll see you two in the morning.""Good night,Nathan."Willow waved at him as Nathan left.

I got both Willow and I some clothes to wear before bed."Can I braid your hair like last night?"I chuckled."Alright."After Willow braided my hair,we got in bed.

After a lullaby,he was out cold."Good night,Willow."

A while after,right when I was about to fall asleep,I heard a noise coming from the window.My eyes were hardly open butt he cold air from the outside woke me up completely.

"Calder?"He got in through the window and closed it behind himself."You really thought I would leave you unsupervised,Nox?I don't trust you,love."

"I wouldn't trust me either.So...Fair."I turned back to Willow."You could have gotten any one of your crew to watch me.You could have got Hook or Jefforson.Why are you here,Calder?"

"First of all,it's captain for you.Second of all,they like you and trust you.They would have bailed on the job if I sent them to watch you."

"Calder,I won't call you captain.Why is this so hard for you to understand?"He scoffed."You will."

An odd feeling came over me as Willow started tossing and turning.I woke him up right away.He was covered in cold sweat,panting for air."Willow,try to breathe!"

He looked into my eyes with tears running down."Same one?"He nodded and hugged me."Don't die,Nox."I nodded."Not until I get old,Willow.I'm here and I'm alive.Alright?"

He nodded.I got him to sleep again and,only then,I realised Calder was gone.I grabbed a jacket to go out the room to find him.

It was easy as he was right outside the door."What was that?""He has nightmares,thanks to you."He scoffed."I told you I wasn't going to kill him."I rolled my eyes.

"He's afraid you are going to kill me.Not him.""Why?Because you are his sister or something?"I shook my head."Because I basically raised him,Calder."

I took a deep breath and peeked inside the room to check on Willow."Not here."We went outside to talk.

"I found Willow nine years ago,almost ten.He was just a baby.A baby on a piece of floating wood in the middle of nowhere.After I got him out of the water,we kept going."

"Not long after,we found a burning ship.Every dead body we found,floating at the surface,was gone.The thing you will be interested about is that,their throats were cut."

"Nine years,you say?"I nodded."Oh,I remember.That was my first success.That's how I got my name."He was smiling and it made me feel sick in the stomache."You are sick."

"Maybe."I shook my head."You took everything from him.The possiblity of a good family,possiblity of a mom,possiblity of a dad...He can't lose me too."

I came back inside and went under the covers to finally sleep.Even though it was impossible after the talk I had with Calder.

Next morning,we got up and we got dressed in Nathan's 'appropriate' dresses.I wore this dark red,puffy,long dress that I hated the least!I still hated it!

Willow and I went downstairs after we got ready."You look really...unlike you.However,gorgeous nonetheless,Nox."I nodded."I know,Adrian.Now,can we leave?I cannot wait to get rid of this thing!"
